I made this video because I found out that a few of my work friends didn't realize that Davinci Resolve is FREE for about 95% of the things that most editors need AND that they were having to rely on asking friends with editing experience for favors to put together their showreels / demo reels. So I made this stripped down tutorial for them. Most real editors will cringe at my fragrant disregard for bins and organization etc. But I just wanted to get you going, you can get pretty later. I miss the magnetic timeline from amFCPX but hoping they’ll do something similar one day. Having fusion in the timeline is the killer feature for me. No having to leave the edit for simple comps is gold.
