Now all these modules that you are adding to the audio is there a way to systemize this bit so I can just clone the settings I want to my next clip/recording or do I need to go in and adjust everything manually so to speak.. how this question makes sense? And I guess its ok if I have to its just that humans are lazy and want a simple preset tweak but based on what I'm seeing here it looks like its a manual process? I often have to remove planes and random people walking by, I'm also guessing removing people talking from next door would be next to impossible huh? Looks like my question is partially answered at 06:50

The video is great, you helped us a lot. I have a question if you can help me. I have a YT channel, I use FCPX but I have a sound problem. Spokesperson has an artificial heart valve, which hears in the background of every conversation. When we record with a lavalier microphone, it is unusable material. A directional microphone we found to be best to shoot overhead. That's how we get the "Best" result. Is there in FCPX or any plug in that could soften or remove such sound?
@benjohnsoncreative3 жыл бұрын
That is an interesting issue. I’m not 100% but I’d guess getting the mic overhead like you said is best. I’d mess around with a combination of the subtractive eq, noise gate, and maybe noise removal to try to find the frequencies at which it is loudest and remove it
@dejansimic3 жыл бұрын
@@benjohnsoncreative Thank you for the quick response. I will definitely give it a try. If you want to experiment a bit I can send you a 1-2 minute video. Half speech half silence. So i'm filming multicam video podcast with the Sm7b and the zoom f8... 1. Is there an effect on FCP X for setting the output gain to the level that the podcasting distributors prefer to like radio standards, LUFS or something? Is this needed or is it just okay to set it to -3dB like you did in your video? 2. Is exporting as a WAV on fcp sufficient for the podcast platfroms as an audio file compared to for example editing it in adobe audition and exporting like that - only issue being it won't have the cuts/edits in it 3. For a 2 mic podcast, so 2 zoom files synced, how would you edit them in a multicam? One person is speaking way more than the other...just wondering if you'd keep them both on with both all the effects from your video or bring them together into one track?
