Lidl is a new to us store, but we were able to find a few vegan items and test them out.

I live in Germany so we have many Lidl in our city BTW the Germans pronounce it LEEdl There is no diphthong in the name for us Muesli is a Swiss word and the ue is an OO sound (if you studied French it is like the eu sound in French) Gyoza is the Japanese name for dumplings The Chinese name for them is Jiaozi which the Japanese took from Chinese likely in the Heian period. They are like perogies from Poland.

Lidl, we have them in the UK, love the meat there, steaks are awesome 🤣

Many. They are like mushrooms in Portugal, they are everywhere intersting fact: we are on the border to Galicia, Spain, and wow the difference in Vegan options between Portuguese and Spainish Lidl is massive. Spain is way more v friendly so we cross over to shop. They also started a Barista oat milk which is actually nice, and 2€ cheaper than Oatly, which is nice.

I prefer cashew ice creams, I think they taste the least like the base. I know coconut ice creams are really popular, but I always just taste strait coconut. And soy can be a little icy (not creamy enough). So yeah, I'm cashew all the way. 😁

The vegetable gyoza is my faaaaaavorite. Try pan frying the bottoms, and then steaming them in the pan with a couple tablespoons of water. The dough doesn't get too soft, so you might like the texture.

I've been going to Lidl's for a few years and what I've noticed is that they are hit and miss with products. Meaning, they with have products and the next month you won't see them again. They do have a selection of name brand products such as Silk and Follow Your Heart.

Aldi and Lidl (pronounced more like Little than with the highlighted I. In Europe anyway..and since they are German... I guess Leedle would be it... ) are owned by the same corporation so similar products. Allegedly Aldi has more brands and is a little more expensive. At least here in Portugal. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ vegan products started but not massive here. However across the border In Spain...lots (I replied to your question before too... repetition alert haha)

We have a Lidl that opened in the spring, this year and its opposite the supermarket I usually shop in. I buy my soya milk from there as its the cheapest place to buy it and their bread flour is good, otherwise it's not going to be my regular place to shop. I find it very much a hit and miss place with regards to finding vegan products. I think I have to wait for veganuary for them to bring out their tofu.

How do you know that the sugar they use in products is vegan? I’ve heard dominos no longer uses bone char but you wouldn’t know which sugar they use.

At this point most sugar production plants have replaced bone char with modern technologies.

We don't have Aldi Süd here in Bielefeld we have Aldi Nord here The American Aldi is the Aldi Süd subsiduary Aldi Nord - in most stores have bakery items but no bakery or electric ovens to cook the frozen dough but our stores are quite small.

I think this is a misunderstanding of their relationship dynamic and personalities. They have been married for many years and they are opposites in a good way. Andrew has very dry humor, so yes he may not seen funny or like he's too cynical, but he obviously gets a kick out of teasing his wife.
