Samantha Ravandaal does “no brand” tutorials where she does beautiful looks without mentioning specific products. Could be a good way to use up your controversial items while doing cool looks for people to follow with their own makeup, that way you aren’t recommending controversial people. I have the JSC alien palette and I can never get rid of it so ik the feeling

He is more than just someone who has made a mistake, he has consistently done terrible things. I'll admit I turned a blind eye to it before and did buy a palette of his last year but now I can see that it is more than "just make up". He is terrible

The problem with this is that people could get influenced to buy his palettes when they see turorials with them. I think it's best to just not show them on the channel after all. People who already have them can search up old tutorials or just recreate looks done with other palettes using their JS ones.

Justyna Wisniewska I understand the point you are trying to make, but its not reasonable to say dont make videos about a product that I already have & just stick to old videos to find new ideas to use it. . It’s about the makeup- not the person behind it. If everyone held your opinion, there would never be another makeup video again. Where is the problem if they are influenced to buy it? She is not their mother or their moral compass. I have nearly every palette & i love them- they are great !!! Jeffree isn’t, but his makeup is. It’s ridiculous to say “ look up old tutorials” & it already happens that people sub other palettes. She has every right to make whatever video she wants. If you choose to unfollow her because she does a JS video, thats your choice. But you cant tell her not to post it because you cant separate that man from the makeup. We’ve already established that destroying them is just a waste, so is not using them- its the same thing. Even donating his stuff is the same. The way to handle JS would be not to purchase anything further. Here again, you cant put any blame on her if an adult makes a decision to buy his stuff. She has made it clear she does not support him. It’s ok to make a new video using his products. Because who knows- next month he could do or say something that puts him right back on top again- cancel culture is not the answer.

Hiya! I love the way you have a story about each makeup item, what I mean is like when and where you got it and if you like it. Sometimes when people have a big collection they don't even remember what they have and it's a shame because things get missed and go bad. I am the same with my collection, I am abit OCD and put stickers on the bottom of every makeup product I purchase with a date of when I open it. So I know how old it is and when to toss xo

Oh and my opinion about you using JSC, if you do I'll definitely watch it. I think he can be an awful person, but he's also helped a lot of people and his brand is good, is inclusive and is cruelty free... In my opinion if you like it and the quality is good, I don't see why you should stop using it!

Keep using your J☆. His quality is fantastic. You don't need have a disclaimer. At the end of the day, people choose what they do and don't support with their money. Just because you have a palette doesn't mean your followers HAVE to buy it. I still use my jeffree palette. I bought it. I still use my shane palette. I bought it. I still use my tati palette. I bought it. No one can tell you you shouldn't.

I don’t know if you ever watch Nadie -popluxe, but he always says this is about the make up and not the people behind it so if you have a tiff with them just push it away because we are here to talk about the make up. Jeffree star is known far and wide, and most people watching make up channels at this point know about Jeffree star and own a pallet or two. I own several. I would love to see Melissa‘s take on JS Looks SHE makes with these pallets - I would love it! I’m still using my pallets I still bought my pallets I still Love my pallets. they are so creamy, high-quality, Glides on, doesn’t crease and looks great all day long and make some of my best loved looks. I disagree, it's a different thing when you use it at home and when an influencer showcases it on their channel. If you see palettes used to create looks you like and hear they're good you are more inclined to buy it, that's why it's called 'influencing'. And not everyone is following the ethics of the brands and looking it up (most people actually don't which is totally ok). So it's way more responsible to just skip it on the channel.

Missa, I feel your pain with the jeffree star pallets because the formula is bomb. I would do no brand tutorials or dupe videos with them so that people could buy the dupe instead of the actual. I am trying to sell all mine because there's no way I can do no brand tutorials, I have to hold the pallet way to close to my face to ever have it not be shown in my videos but if someone already spent the money, I would definitely do no brand tutorials.
