Appreciate seeing the inclusion of the A-151 within the MN ecosystem. Would love further explorations of how certain common utility modules (S&H, Logic Gates, Matrix Mixers) can work with our black & gold friends. Also, I wonder how Morphagene feels being left out here? There must be some stereo movement options for it (I seem to recall something like this being explored during one of the late lamented Office Hours).
@MAKEN0ISEMUSIC2 жыл бұрын
Morphagene doesn't have direct stereo modulation natively. there is randomized panning at max Morph levels. Also check out the video "Spatializing Genes" for a look at sort of encoding stereo movement into a Morphagene Splice: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5STdJaKpcica9E

Cool video as always. Nice to add in some third-party modules as examples of what can help a patch truly come to life (when MN doesn't explicitly have a similar module). Most of us modular folk have a complete mish-mash of manufacturers in our cases anyway, so this is nice to see in a patch video. Keep up the good work!

I'm not sure what ASMR is, but for me, this is it.

I’ve always loved the idea of transforming both speakers as two differents instruments (like at the end of thi video), a very ‘frenchie’ idea. Idk if headphone people would agree😅. This allows to sit speakers in strange places (like back to back in the centre) and many other configurations. Love it!

This video makes me wonder what happens between the sentences :). It would make a cool 'behind the scenes' parody video to record your intro and have all kinds of staff interrupting...

All this intermingling with systems and the desktops is great. Would be interesting to see the Shared System with Strega and the 0’s. Full tilt boogie.

This is amazing and sooooo coool... I love your instruments! I love these videos. People have been asking me about Strega and your other great synths and I say experimentation is key. Also, check the Make Noise youtube channel! Great stuff. I dont know who the idea person is. Maybe you, Walker? Stereo is a fabulous tool to work with sound design fun. Cant wait to try a version of this!

Glad you love the instruments (and videos)! We're a whole crew of "idea people." Ideas for instruments themselves are mostly Tony's, but with a lot of help from a lot of people in developing them to their fullest. I (Walker) do all the writing and patching for the KZbin videos (as well as shooting, editing etc.) unless otherwise noted, but I pull video ideas from all over the place. This one grew from a conversation I was recently having with Tony and Pete about stereo implementations in polysynths, actually! Also importantly, it's my responsibility to facilitate and curate videos from our awesome guest hosts such as Panic Girl, Leo Mendes, and [lots of fun hosts to come, stay tuned!] ⚡️⚡️

What this should tell you is that we should have a sequential switch the Make Noise way.

OK, now do quadraphonic
@MAKEN0ISEMUSIC2 жыл бұрын
The hurdle there would be KZbin, which mixes multichannel audio down to stereo. (Also, it would require viewers to have identical quad setups for which there is not much of a standard). That said, quad is fun! Rodent and I did a performance in quad a few years back and you can hear a binaural version here walkerfarrell.bandcamp.com/album/the-future-leaks-out
