Question... Like celular network any cellphone can connect to other cellphone in the world but it's not direct conection because there's lots of network conection between to regenerate the main signal But on the other hand for lora .. How individual one module transmit and receive signals to other individual similar module with very low power and without any signal amplifier in between just like cellular Network ? If it's possible than why Wifi modem have limited range Around 100 to 200 meters only ?

Hi. LoRa transfers small bits of data hourly or daily over multiple kilometers. WiFi sends large amounts of data at a high speed over short ranges. LoRa can not replace WiFi. LoRa is a wireless communication protocol that consumes less power and is less expensive. LoRa uses frequency shift keying to transfer data over long distances.

Great video., really informative and useful. I have a question thou: On 3:15, I couldnt get why 5G have such a large range coverage, since we know that working with higher frequency bands also brings a lot of power loss and attenuation of signal propagation over distance. Anyone can help me on this? Thank you for the awesome video sir!
@MAKERDEMY2 жыл бұрын
Hi Pedro Thanks for your positive feedback. Regarding the 5G range coverage, it's our mistake that the image is not the correct representation. The image seems to falsely indicate that 5G has more range than 4G as it is shifted to the right. The correct image should have been all the cellular networks on a straight line vertically. We will make sure such mistakes don't happen in the future. Thank You MAKERDEMY SUPPORT TEAM

Great Video Sir, India is allowed to work on 865-867 bands. For making a data transmission with LoRa Transmitter and Receiver, we couldn't get any LoRa devices with the allowed bandwidth ranges in India. Why is that Sir? Do we have any alternatives?
@MAKERDEMY2 жыл бұрын
Hi Arun. All modules that are designed in India are for the 868Mhz band and can be used with these frequencies. The frequency selection is in your node firmware. The procedure varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.

Nice information...but what about the security issues??
@MAKERDEMY2 жыл бұрын
Hi Satish LoRaWAN® Is Secure, but the Implementation Matters. LoRaWAN is by design very secure . Authentication and encryption are, mandatory. The specification defines two layers of cryptography: Using a unique 128-bit network session key shared between the end-device and network server Using a unique 128-bit application session key (AppSKey) shared end-to-end at the application level AES algorithms are used to provide authentication and integrity of packets to the network server and end-to-end encryption to the application server. The devices can be activated by Personalization on the production line or during commissioning, or can be over the air activated (OTAA) in the field. OTAA allows device sessions to be rekeyed if necessary. Check out this paper to understand more about this: arxiv.org/pdf/2105.00384.pdf We hope this was helpful Thank You, MAKERDEMY SUPPORT TEAM

Nice information in the video. I'm a starter in this area. Which Lora Node Module is preferred for use in India ?

Hi Shashi, I am afraid there is no generic answer to this question. It all depends on performance, your budget etc. If you can tell me what you are looking to do, I may be in a better position to answer your question. - Venkatesh
