I bought a new 34t in 1987. Mine had a 3 cylinder Deutz and a shear head. It didn’t have AC and about half the ground travel speed of this one. I could cut 2 trailer loads a day of 8ft wood in a first thinning and the forwarder operator drove the truck.

Makeri was originally designed and manufactured in Finland in the early -80's. As well as this 34T model. have you modified the sawhead from guillotine?

It might not be the fastest in the world, but cnsidering the conditions and age of the technology, its pretty fast

Should have your truck close by and be dropping the cut chunks right into the truck for hauling!

Some of these idiots don't realize these machines were solely designed to thin young trees, especially pine plantations. They were small and versatile and desinged not to destroy the remaining trees. Of course newer machines are faster, but also quite expensive. We purchased a new 33T model in 1985 for around $65,000 and it worked quite well for thinning red pine plantations.

The bar saw is faster than the original shear head.
