That would work very well for a diy camper awning! Thanks

I haven't made too many things with makers pipe, just a disc golf cart that I want waiting to finish before I share. Gotta say though, you guys are excellent sharing all of this DIY with the world.

If you had moved your 45° braces out to each Edge how much would it have held with the 1 inch I would assume it would have been a bunch more

Woo! Yeah I only found the 5/8" because their app convinced me it was there somewhere, haha. For me at my local Lowe's it was in vertical cardboard boxes of short 2ft "repair sections" in the irrigation tubing aisle. These boxes were kind of nondescript, on the floor and only went up a couple feet so they could even be hidden/shoved beneath the lowest rack on accident. There were a few of them of different tubing types until I found the 5/8". Compared to the full 5/8" drip irrigation you can buy, the "repair" sections are kind of overpriced, but they're also perfectly straight. 🤷 The fit is so good though!

I’ve seen those boxes and bought some of the 3/4” and 1” before but there was a missing spot. I guess they were out of 5/8” unfortunately. Thanks again for sharing your use of this hack!

say this was used for a table or desk, how much could it hold before it breaks??

Pretty much the only thing that is holding the weight of the pipes and whatever else you have on the build is that little clip. I wouldn't expect too much out of them. Maybe 50-100 pounds but I honestly don't know exactly.

Use the 1/2" to 3/4" adapters you sell. You may have to lightly sand them but should slide fine

Those work for the outer diameter change between the two but in this scenario its a lot thinner of a gap going between 1/2” OD to 3/4” ID.

I think 5/8 pipe is only in the black flexible drip tubing.

It was odd because they had adapters etc. for 5/8” but no actual tubing.

I have used old walkers that get placed in the trash on the road as a source those spring pins for years. Being the cheap b#%@ard that I am. Don’t try and take them from one that is in use tho, people get upset!
