That does look nice lots of work though that I’m too lazy to do lol I’ve never worked with resin before just 3D printing with pla. I like the clear figures. I would definitely like to see a vintage one done. You should attempt a scareglow style clear vintage figure maybe with glow in the dark resin.

That green resin looks REALLY good! I always enjoy seeing you think on your feet when you have issues like those shin joints, because that kind of thing would probably cause me to shelve a whole project, if I ever actually started one. I'll also chime in and say that I would love to see a vintage version, or any project using casts of vintage parts. ✌

This turned out great! Few things: Two part molds would have made this far easier. Use wax to create funnelss for air to escape when pouring the resin. Vacuum chamber is 100% worth grabbing. That being said this turned out WAY better than i expected. Helkuva job!

I had a go at figure casting a few years ago, I was successful at casting heads but couldn’t achieve a full body. Sadly i quit and sold all the kit I’d accumulated. But I’m pleased you got a full body

Man, I love translucent figures. I have a origins, slime pit he-man, made from a turtles of gray skull mutated Moss man. Using a classic slime pit he-man head. But I would love to have a head that matches the color of the buck perfectly. Your figure came out great❤

The figure your referring too that had the added slime sculpting was a custom MOTU figure by one of the Global Masters Podcast Members, Joe Amato. He runs a custom figure shop called Joe Amato Custom Creations, an the figure was his Slime Pit He-Man custom.

I'd love to see you do a classics figure! I've been customizing them for years and have been wanting to do a fully casted figure, but I can't figure out certain parts and don't want to break the figures... I have a feeling it'll be 10x way more difficult than an Origins figure.
@MakeShapeCreate3 күн бұрын
I think they’d only be hard because only the heads are meant to come off them! Plus they are EXPENSIVE to then destroy

Use a pressure pot and make 2 part molds for some of the pieces.
@MakeShapeCreate4 күн бұрын
I definitely need to get one! Thanks for the tips!!
@Endo-Skeleton2 күн бұрын
@@MakeShapeCreateif you use a pressure pot, make sure you get a vacuum set up too! You need to vacuum the silicone to remove all bubbles, otherwise the pressure pot will collapse those bubbles.. this distorts the figure, or in worse case, it pops bubbles close to the surface details that you wouldn’t know were there. This ends up with resin balls all over your final product and quickly destroys your mold. Great work on this btw! 👏
@MakeShapeCreate2 күн бұрын
Yes I need to get a pressure pot! Luckily the silicone had not bubbles lol
