Hi everyone! Please let me know if the ads are crazy like last video, it won’t let me see them (yet) as KZbin places them after I publish and I’m off to sleep 😴 so let me know if it’s every 40 seconds like last week and I’ll jump on tomorrow and remove them manually! ❤ thanks for watching

Stabilize your fabric and it will help with structure. Get something iron on like sf101. It is actually called interfacing in the sewing department. For embroidery machines, they say stabilizer. I do both and say whatever comes out of my fingers! :) The thinner batting/wadding is cotton and the thicker is polyester. Polyester used in quilting makes a fluffier quilt but not necessarily stiffer. If you quilt close stitching on the cotton, it will stiffen up. For bags, I use a pellon interfacing that is thick and heavy for structure. I can't tell you the number because I bought it 15 years ago - whole bolt - and now it isn't on the bolt. I hope you do well with your bags.

Thank you for the tips! I’ve started using the stabilizer stuff since this video was posted and it’s been great 😁🤍

I use needles meant for jeans when im sewing through a few layers. Theyre pretty sturdy.
@TaylahRose14 күн бұрын
Thank you! I did purchase some thicker needles but since changing the wadding it’s been no issue (and no broken needles) which is a bonus 🤍
@goinsewin16314 күн бұрын
Taylor the wadding you ordered is not right. You need to use a stabilizer ironed on to your cotton sf 101 would work. Then you need just one layer of wadding you are currently using. Plz try this out you will like it

I use plastic teeth zippers as its very easy to sew over and I don't break needles
@jocelynwalters682013 күн бұрын
You can also use fusible foam which I use a lot in bags when making them.

Hamd made goods are not always going to be cheap. People need to understand that. We all pay full price for everything we buy to make and sell. We do not get them for pennies on the dollar. And no one complains about the price of a Chanel bag.

Your closets smell musty upstairs? How is your roof? I'm with the other commenters regarding your wadding/batting. SF101, or some sort of stabilizer. Can you feel around on the stabilizers at spotlight, and do some more test sews before you buy another bolt?
@TaylahRose14 күн бұрын
Thanks for the advice 🤍😁 I think the upstairs wardrobe is because it gets no sunlight but I bought some things for it and now it seems fine but I’ll get my roof checked! I started using stabilizer on the cotton since this video was filmed and it’s been great 😁

Hey not yet! Probably next year as I’m sure my style will evolve and I want to give the best tutorial possible. I was thinking of doing a mini tutorial for Christmas on a different method for makeup bags but just depends if I have time 🤍🥰

Your video was enjoyable because it wasn’t loaded with ads. Any I watched today had long ads at several points of the video. Is KZbin trying to force the viewers to pay for ad-free viewing? I don’t mind ads but some are so long, you think the video is over and I’ve started a new unknown video😂.

I hear during November and December KZbin ramp up ads on videos! Last weeks upload they added ads 40 seconds apart! Was insane. Luckily I was able to go in manually and remove them. Can’t wait til January lol, might be worth getting a free trial of KZbin premium over the next month or so 😭😂

The method I use I found from a non English video and I changed the pattern (different to Christine’s I just had a looksie) I think I’ll release my own next year after a few more months of making and selling so I can give everyone the best tutorial possible! Already have learnt so much since making the first batches and I’m sure I’ll learn and develop more 🤍
