The stage makeup comment really hit home for me. I’m a teacher and makeup helps me get through the “show”. I can become that responsible adult in charge of 160+ teenagers 💀 when in fact I am just 3 possums in a trenchcoat.

@ It’s my 13th year teaching and my first on anxiety meds and stimulants. I decided I needed to take my mental health seriously because last year our other art teacher had to take 12 weeks of emergency mental health leave. That was a damn wake up call dude. Doing my makeup while having my coffee is ritual; it’s sacred shit. I teach in an inner city rough school and dress like I died in the 1800s. The kids have learned to love it though. They love the makeup lewks.

I am a bit self-diagnosed OCD and like matching things. So I match my shadows to the same color family as my nail polish; last week was blues and this week was greens to go with Mooncat Drown My Demons. It forces me to cycle through my makeup and decide what I am not using. 😊

I’m with you on that one! Idk what my phobia is called but when something is too big I start to panic. For example, I can’t look at whales. Which makes me sad because I think they’re magical but they terrify me. I also feel like I’m gonna throw up when I look at an aerial view of something and can see too much of the ocean which does not bode well for me because I insure properties all along the west coast that I need to look at an aerial view of on a daily basis lol.

isnt it gorgeous?? really love the tones as well. thank you! oh gosh this is very individual but i like to gather up some, get my little bar soap (non fragrance), with a little scrubby pad, and use warm water and just get to it. there are a million ways to do it but i find music or having a youtube on on my phone helps because it can take TIME.
