For your Q and A, could you maybe answer this question: Do you have any tips for being afraid of certain steps in ballet? Sometimes I'm scared of doing pirouettes en pointe. I can do 4-5 when I just go for it but some days I have "Pirouette block" and I only end up doing one to two if I do any at all. I can do them when I'm just practicing without the music, but once my teacher turns on the music for my variations I get scared and hold back.

Just a tip for those of you that have deep set eyes with a skin fold over the crease - which I do....smokey eye - makeup makes me look like a raccoon. Or that I've been up the last 3 nights in a row. Not a good look. Add that to a skin tone that makes me tired... You get the picture. What I found helpfull was to do a smokey eye with golden/light colors, that bring out the eye (dark tends to "deepen" it further, and a liquid eye liner. NO blending in the crease, esp with dark colors, and NO dark colors under the eye. Use a light color under the lower lash line, and plenty mascara. My inspiration was a Taylor Swift picture (...google golden smokey eye Taylor Swift). Practice that liquid eye liner. For me, black liner actually works best to enhance my eyes without it looking raccoon-ish. It really made all the difference in my makeup routine :)

Girl_with_the_red_lipstick pointe shoe brand don't feel the same for all people someone might absolutely LOVE a pair but when you try it on you might now like how it feels or how it supports your foot everybody is different and that's what makes the world of dance more interesting and I think fun!

lovely, artistically done and very well thought out. A product i recently picked up that you might enjoy having for a more everyday makeup look is the Nars Hot Sand highlighter. you know how sometimes strong highlights bring out the texute of skin and its not flattering? well this highlight isnt prone to doing that for whatever reason. its natural but buildable and i thought id recomend it incase you were looking for a good highlight.

For active things like this with a natural look I'm a big fan of using only cream blush (BTW nyx makes awesome ones & cheap) can set with a little translucent powder if needed, but no powdered blush on top. Keeps the color light and unless you're wearing a super heavy foundation (which isn't great for these situations anyway) your natural flushing will do plenty.

Weird hack: a tiny bit of concealer right above (on top) of the arch of your eyebrow. Also, Dr. Haushka makes a tremendous concealer with a small sponge tip. I call it my "magic eraser." I duct wear foundation daily (especially to class) but this is a must. Stock up when in Germany, or ask touring friends. Then it's really reasonable.

Hi Katie, thank you so much for this video. I think everyone was wondering how their makeup should look on auditions so thanks. My Q&A question is that I need to a variation but I can't find one that I can do with my abilities. I'm really good at jumps but not turns. Most of the variations I see on KZbin have multiple turns or are every fast which I can't do on pointe that good. So I was wondering if you could help me find a variation that fit with my abilities. hey Katie I love your videos as usual, but you could try putting in some background music?:) I know it takes more work and stuff and I personally don't mind it without, but I'm just saying that most people actually would watch more if there were background music hahaa, and as you usually have alot of valuable advice etc it would be sad if people left halfway due to the only sound being talking (psychological tricks somewhat😅)
