I so deeply appreciate glamrs.com for having models of wheatish skin and even dark skin! The make up artist emphasises so well the importance of not 'wanting' to go for a fairer foundation, which most Indian girls do in order to look fair. The unhealthy race to look fairer amongst girls has taken a high in the Indian crowd than ever before. It's our own little form of racism so deeply rooted, we don't even realise it. How beautiful the model looks in the end! So radiant and gorgeous in her own unique skin tone! Let us all accept and appreciate the glory of Indian beauty which comes in all colours and shades! PS: is it weird that I find the make up artist with her sharp features and gorgeous curly hair absolutely ravishing? ;)

Hello Pallavi, I have subscribed to this channel several days ago and watched a lot of your videos and about an hour ago I decided to try this technique on concealer and foundation. I did what you instructed step by step and let me say, my face looked flawless and I was able to not blend my concealer with the foundation it was such a beautiful look on my skin. Thank you so much for doing this tutorial. I also after I did this look I followed it up with your Contouring and highlighting tutorial you did and I will comment on that tutorial shortly.

That was a great deal of presentation from an Indian. I am infact surprised to see an Indian giving reasons and to why rather than just the statements. You are good with what you do and I truly appreciate your efforts. The whole video seems very informative. The only one thing which I would like to state here (you can delete this or correct me if I am wrong !!) is that when we are making a video (by default we include lights for proper imaging) we need to be careful with "silicon" based Foundations. I see a good presentation of the model face and skin but by the end the photos with flash were a No-Go. Hope you understand my point of not using Silicon based products for flash-light photography or images.

Most people recommend to go lighter on concealer as opposed to darker. All girls are not pretty, all doesn't have a sharp jaw, all doesn't have a round eyes, all doesn't have a flawless skin. There are girls who have round chubby face(who have no idea as to how to apply highlighter), small hooded eyes which are oily (due to which they can't have a cat eye liner & whose eyeshadow just melts & the color becomes one shade), who has double chin and fat neck. My friend who has all this problems can't get a finished makeup, something or the other blows out of space. She has lots of chicken pox scars on her cheeks & her face being oily her makeup doesn't last long though she applies primer. I personally feel beauticians should come up with models or girls who doesn't have an even skin and teach us how yo beautify ourselves inspite of all this problems.

Great tutorial! But till now.. i used to think dat we apply foundation first and then concealer. But in this video its vice versa. I think both will work because in other videos i saw application of foundation first ! Neways it ws a very helpful tutorial. Great work!

Yes it can be either ways but it surely depends on the need/reason for use of them one before the other and the final look that you wish to achieve, the occasion, the hours of make-up stay on your skin that you need, your investment on products, the blending tools, etc

Omg I love that Lakme foundation. I can't wait to go back to India in December to pick up a couple of bottles because unfortunately you don't get it abroad and the one I'd picked as a trial from India is over. Some people were asking about the shade and if it's any help my shade is #07. It has an orange-y tint to it but it's great for medium Indian skin tones :)
