Foundation separation is due to many factors but I would be curious to hear what you put underneath the foundation. If you used a silicone based primer or a moisturizer with silicone in it, that would cause the foundation to move/separate the way you were seeing. Water-based foundations are tricky in this way because you have to be very careful what you layer beneath and over them.

I wasn’t using a primer but the last thing I put on my face before the foundation was my isntree watery sun gel which I’m pretty sure does have silicone in it actually. So that could definitely explain the patchy issues I had! Still too sheer of coverage for me though personally, and I can’t go without my sunscreen so...just wasn’t meant to be for me and miss Watertone 😆 thank you for watching though!!

I'm a professional makeup artist and I just ordered Watertone to stock my kit back up, so watching videos is helpful to see how it works. If you ever want to try another good water foundation, Koh Gen Do has a great one (pricey as hell though). Cheers!
