I feel like a big problem Bite had was that their whole brand is centered around lips and for a whole year and and a half or so, majority of people were wearing masks. I work at Ulta and lip products were hard to sell during 2020- early 2021, I assume it was the same at Sephora. In that time, they should have launched some more eye products, maybe brows.

I also bought the Wild Greens palette and I hated it, I actually returned it which is rare for me. The mattes were kind of dusty and very hard to work with and the shimmers were a little too sheer for me.

The Jouer blush duos are honestly so nice! I use mine all the time. I have a peachy color. So are the Too Faced eyeliners, I was surprised with the quality. It actually lasts in the waterline.

Yes EVERY brand needs to move products, everything had a date passed which we can not sell it. When we’re getting close to the date it’s either going on sale or getting thrown out. I work for a cosmetic brand in a department store, we don’t do any sales so the employees get the products that we can not sell anymore, but I’ve seen other brands break and throw out tons of $300 perfumes rather than reducing it or gifting to the employees

For Bite - the other problem is they relaunched without a replacement for the Amuse Bouche lipstick. So in a nutshell, they ruined one of their iconic products and discontinued the other. I feel like they're a lesson in trend chasing. Had they stayed non-vegan they might still be here.

I know someone for whom the original Bite lipsticks going away is more disruptive of their life than the pandemic was. It might have been that they were managing to hold it all together, and then their favorite red Bite lipstick that they wore for years suddenly being unwearable was the last straw.

I swatched the bite beauty blushes in store once, and they are exactly as awful as they look in photos. I had to squeeze with both hands just to get a tiny blob out, and then the formula was a thick matte silicone-y mousse with frosty chunky shimmer

Omg Glamglow still exists! Last time I thought about them, they were doing weird IP collabs like Sonic the Hedgehog and Transformers or something 😂 I got a sample once and it was alarming how uncomfortably warm my skin felt. To this day I have no idea why they were so popular.

I know a lot of people didn't like the wild greens palette, but I love it for what it is - a neutral palette with peach and greenish tones and different textures for variety. I have loved every look I have done with this palette!

Hey Lauren! I’m an avid travel size mascara user, and it did take some time getting used to using smaller wands but I don’t even notice anymore. I’ve used a couple of the sample bite mascaras (black tube), and the travel size bite mascara (rose gold tube) has a little bit longer of a wand. I use a lot of sample ones too. I like using small mascaras so that when they expire I don’t have half of a tube still! I used to use full size mascaras for a year or more …

Yass girl I feel the exact same as you about highlighters! Gimme older formula powder highlighters ALL DAY LONG over creams or other newer formulas!!! And i'm a highlighter junkie so i've tried em all but I have just never been able to get on the cream highlighter train! And I love cream products but just when it comes to cream highlighters, I feel they are never as stunning or as seamlessly blendable as the powder highlighters. Even when I do come across an exception, I just never reach for it over my powder ones.

Very curious if I bought anything you talked about here :) (I did buy a Bite lipstick) I was also shocked at how much decent stuff there was compared to a couple years ago. The Pat McGrath big holiday palette (Celestial Odessey I think?) was on sale for $48 and I scooped it up. I was super tempted by those duo chrome shadow pots but I didn’t love the shades. Was also tempted by the UD Wild Greens palette but I haven’t heard great things and I couldn’t justify buying two palettes. I have so many, I already don’t need more so I had to limit myself. 🤣

I always just put a little bit of liquid lipstick in the very center of my lips just the smallest amount and work it out with some lip balm or lip gloss and then clean up the lines with the lip liner but I don't usually wear lip liner all the way I should because my zip line is so wonky

Metallic lip products! As someone who still owns a metallic liquid lip product: I use them the same way you might use a gloss or lighter colour - centre of the lips to highlight / add a shine to the lips. Though personally, I only really like it in natural adjacent shades.

The Wild Greens is mu ultimate favourite palette from the ones I own. I use it every day and absolutely adore it. It is my first and only UD palette and its kind of sad to see people not enjoying it. Everyone has their own personal preferences though.

I loved bite beauty and have so many of their mini lipsticks from their holiday sets. I even got a full sized of their old formula when it was on sale because they were changing the formula. Nothing in their relaunch has been interesting. I didn’t even buy their holiday set this year when it went on sale…. And I used to buy them full price and I was excited they were vegan. The colors were all the same and there was nothing interesting. I usually bought for the fun color variety. I’d only wear them occasionally and it was small so i could reapply on the go.
