This is my makeup inventory 2023 introduction and an overview of my makeup collection 2023. I have been doing a makeup inventory twice a year since I started my channel and it is so interesting to me to see how project pan and now a makeup collection declutter has effected my numbers. I might do a video for makeup i want to use up since i do tend to use up about 50 makeup empties per year. Makeup use up has been a big part of my channel since I started and I am so excited that it's starting to show. I did go on a makeup no buy for a time so that could have helped too.
I dont think I have a minimalist makeup collection my any means but some categories I may go for that in the future.

Okay, so what I do with the NYX Brow Glue is I brush my brows in all different directions ending with up. Then, I take the handle of a makeup brush and roll my brows flat to my skin while still wet. Hope it helps! 💚

I use that Nyx glitter glue for shimmers all the time and it seems to work just fine.

I have 3 huge pans on that ND in bloom palette! The only one that doesn’t have a ton of use is that NARS Orgasm looking blush in that palette. It’s pretty but I use to wear a blush like that a lot when I was younger, to the point of panning 3 NARS Orgasm blushes so I guess I might be tired of that color of peach with a golden sheen even though it’s pretty.

Love the overhead style 😍 Don't wanna tempt you to buy new makeup but if you are interested in a cheaper alternative for the Urban Decay Primer Potion you can try the Max Factor Miracle Prep Eyeshadow Base. It does not really have any colour to it but it keeps on my eyeshadow even longer than UD!

Ooh an hour with steph - yup its a must watch! And I have one black liner and its my least used I loved my colours more to be honest but I wear eyeliner everyday! The lip clays I would call liquid lipstick due to formula. I am looking forward to following along this year to see how you do! I also have lofty goals I am cheering you on while I attempt to hit mine its been slow and steady over here.

@@StephLyons Yes I want to go down 1 in at least every category. Lip products and eyeliners and perfume being the exception. For lips I want to finish 1 lipstick, 2 glosses at least and a couple lip balms bare minimum. Eyeliner aiming for 2. Perfume I want to finish all my little samples and finish 2 rollerballs if I can do that I will just keep going and see how challenging I can make it. Everything is moving even though I barely have had empties so far I am seeing the progress and its exciting!

i franken (for colour/finish type) and press my loose powders. definately kick up - but it works. it is just so much easier to use. i am currently on a no buy with pressed just so i can use up my loose this way (otherwise i found i was not using them) once they are out i dont think i will be repurchasing.

​@@StephLyons currently i have 2 loose that i have had for - has to be over 10 yr!. not kidding. i just kept carrying them around with me. they are just so messy to use loose. last year i was like what am i doing?! loose = a cinema secrets translucent matte, a cover fx luminous. - pressed = a cover fx pressed powder foundation (beautiful formula) that is wayyyy to dark for me, and a loreal pressed that is light enough but not the right colour. for my pressed powder i mix a tiny bit of the too dark coverfx with the cinema secrets matte, some of the loreal, and just a tiny bit of the cover fx luminous loose (its too luminous! i find it accentuates texture). i like it. and then i just ran out of a finishing powder (had milani - liked it) but instead of repurchasing one i frankened the luminous with just a tiny bit of the cinema secret matte, and some lilac/lavender blush to make my own pressed finishing/brightening powder. i am actually impressed with this. i used up 2 loose minis last year making concoctions. in the past i have toned down blush with translucent powder by frankening.

i have been thinking of you lately. after it crumbled all over my bathroom floor. lol. i led you astray!! it just became a crumbly mess after a bit and wouldnt stay pressed. ive just been using the loose. but i havent given up, when im in the mood to do some pressing again im going to try it with some drops of silicone and see if that works. i should ask jess lee. she is like a mad scientist with stuff. :) i think i got too zealous and the ratio was too much loose compared to the pressed i was trying to finish or maybe it really is just too old.

I love watching inventory videos! I’ve had the same issue with the nyx brow glue. I just couldn’t get my brows to stick. I realised I had to use a LOT of the gel and then lay it flat for it to actually work for me. And for a black waterline liner, I found the zoeva one works pretty well. The down side is that it’s a pain to remove at the end of the night 😂

Complexion matches are so hard to find at the drugstore unless you're a medium shade so it's the thing I'll splurge on because I hate mixing foundations, I usually try to wait until there is a sale then stock up on a few different ones.

@@StephLyons I have a very warm undertone so tarte, mac and nars are good brands for me because they have warm shades that go light enough. Too faced I have found are very peachy, it's like the shades are formulated to match fake tan shades not only actual skin tones they match well enough but if I'm paying $30 for a concealer I want it to be seamless, clinique, smashbox and pur I find are more more cool/neutral friendly even if it says "warm" it's just not a good match for me their complexion products never tempt me no matter how much hype because I know I probably won't find it anywhere decent match anyways

I wonder how many products I have total. I don’t have very many foundations, concealers, powders. I have a decent size collection in blush and highlighters but it’s not huge. I decluttered I think 15 highlighters a year ago. I don’t get drawn in to buy a lot in those categories. I know I have 300 eyeshadow palettes but I really started cutting back this year. I only bought one so far and that’s the Sydney Grace Tropicolor palette which is Tina’s collab. I’m proud of myself for that and want to continue on the same path. I’d be happy buying at most 5 palettes this year if I can do it. Also I’m open to giving more away, but I want to try out what I own an really think about it before giving a lot of them away. I like face palettes too but I have no bought a new one since a year ago which was the menagerie blush palette which I got a lot of use out of in the Fall especially, to the point where I had to force myself to put it away. 😅

@@StephLyons If I ever film it, I’ll let you know! 🙂 Thank you! After I thought about it more, I actually bought 3 total because I forgot I bought the Glamlite Scooby Doo bundle in January. I think the COVID is making me forget things, but I’m still proud of myself because last year I’d buy 4 each month, and the year before it could be up to 10 a month at times! 😳😅 🤯It seems like you downsized your collection and are controlling what you bring in as well which is a great thing. I love the menagerie blushes because the colors are unique and go on the skin nicely, but I don’t know if I’d recommend people who have to pay customs and high shipping to buy from them. After the added costs and higher wait time, I’m not sure if it’s worth it for some blushes. Their eyeshadows are okay, but I don’t think they’re worth it to people who have to pay extra fees because they are out of the US. I used to like their older eyeshadow formula, but now they have a more sheer matte formula which isn’t my preference.
