I think a company that plays into marketing/nostalgia really well is colourpop. There seems to be a lot of collaboration & deliberate choices of packaging/color scheme with every trademark themed launch.

Huda has some of my most favourite holy grail makeup products but I just hate the fact that she puts her face on all the packaging. If I'm paying a high end price for a makeup product I expect the packaging to look sleek and high quality not tacky ;(

It’s also kinda weird because at this point Huda is known more for being a brand owner rather than just an influencer. Like I feel like more people are just fans of her makeup rather than actually being a fan of her as a person... no shade because she’s still the face of the brand or whatever but Huda is a more established brand known for the quality of product so she just doesn’t need to rely on just her name to sell stuff anymore... on the contrary I kinda think her own name/reputation as a person might even hurt sometimes 🥴

That's what I thought! I know she likes glowy and trendy makeup but oily skin people exist too!!!! 🙄 We need the powders and matte products. If we want glowy skin we can use highlight or a setting spray but matte is necessary especially in the summer.

​@@itsjess1203 as far as the becca one i only use that one under the eye. i use it even without makeup or for "no makeup" makeup days. it just perfectly cancels the darkness right under my eyes. IMO it doesn't need concealer it's thick and i only use it under the eye. BUT the fenty one you can use it for more than just under eyes IMO but i definitely use that one with a concealer ON TOP because the peach shade i'm using corrects but isn't full coverage. i've only had the fenty one for half a week tho and i've used becca's for years.

Yeah the thing about dietary supplements is that if you aren’t deficient in whatever ingredient is in it, it’s not really going to do much for you. (Definitely not enough for you to see a change) it has to be something your body doesn’t create naturally or something you’re just deficient in. For example, I take vitamin b12 everyday because my bloodwork came back extremely low and my doctor prescribed it to me. But that’s it.

Giiiiirl the sol de janeiro dry shampoo is amazing, not over bearing whatsoever, the deodorant is a dream to. I’m a super sweater but I use it anyways because I gave up on trying to find things to help with sweat but the scent lasts all day and isn’t over powering whatsoever. So worth it.

Weirdest thing to me is when brands come out with "bronzer" palettes and then the palettes for dark skin have a "bronzer" that is more purple in tone, making it look more like a contour

Just out of curiosity, what colour tones are best for bronzers for people with dark skin? It makes sense that purple wouldn't work. As a very pale person with yellow undertones, I don't distinguish between bronzer and contour products (or maybe that's just me, regardless of skin tone) so I'm just interested!

Thing about ABH contour or bronzing, it needs more depth in a tone sense. Like they can do much more in that aspect, this is just my opinion. Edit: Forgot to add, medium deep to deep dark customers exist and a lot of companies FORGET this or just straight up neglect this. When you speak about this matter particularly, people tend to beat you down because the company's products fit their skin tone. They often rudely say, "Well go buy somewhere else then."

I feel exactly the opposite with lip products. I can't imagine wearing a gloss or a creamier lipstick rigth now with the masks. It makes sense to me that liquid lipsticks are being realised in this times, were you often use a face mask for some places en not for others, so you have to have something that doesnt transfer as much.
