Colleen is such a motivational speaker. I completely agree that breast feeding in public is and should be completely acceptable, no women should ever be ashamed. It’s apart of life, as a mother she is only giving her child nutrients and food to grow into a healthy person! And as well as the school systems, how they base kids education and knowledge by testing... let’s just say I am a horrible test taker and never able to receive a satisfying grade to please colleges or universities, even if I did well with my school work. Don’t let tests discourage you, you do what you can. And In the end Colleen is a happy beautiful mom, Flynn looks so healthy. I wish all but the best for her and the family❤️

COLLEEN!! I’m also a “milk machine” and in no way am I qualified to give medical advice but my son had a period of time where he was also always fussy and I felt like he was grunting a lot and having reallllly runny diapers (sorry TMI) BUT with my second child my pediatrician recommended to use a handheld pump before I nurse. I’ve been pumping out my let down (about 2oz) right before I nurse my daughter and the feedings are way smoother and she’s satisfied for longer and besides the occasional upset tummy she’s so much happier than my son was. Just thought I’d share if you wanted to try that for Flynn but no pressure if you’ve already got something that works for you! Love you!

Ive heard this advice too. I think it's something to do with the first bit of milk being sweeter and richer. It can upset some babies if they have that first. You could always give it them in a bottle for the last bit of the feed. I think the later milk lines the stomach better - so after they've had that it's ok to have the fore-milk. On of my friends was advised to pump after she fed. Then, when the baby was next hungry, give him an 1-2oz of pumped milk before putting him on the boob. For the same reason I suppose - to avoid having the sugary milk first. X

These comments are so ignorant. Do you eat in public? Yes. So should an infant. For some wild reason society begs to see women’s body parts but once they’re used for their natural function then it’s seen as disgusting. If you were to cover up when you feed a baby during a hot summer day the baby is in the worst position. Imagine taking your baby to a dirty public bathroom just so they can eat. Personally, I wouldn’t breastfeed my baby without a covering in public because modesty is important in my religion, but that doesn’t mean I won’t disrespect the women who do. Let them do as they please.

Shout out to all the students about to take their SATs and ACTs! It’s been a few years since I’ve taken mine but I definitely relate to Colleen on this point. I was a 4.0 student but couldn’t take tests that well so my scores weren’t great. Although I didn’t get into all of the colleges I wanted, I did get into a few in-state schools and got great scholarships. My best advice is: do your best, but don’t stress too hard. I barely remember the ACT/SAT now, and I’m doing great in college. It’ll work out. The ACT/SAT won’t decide your entire life.
