Zabrena, try the Maybeline Vinyl in Peachy. A beautiful nude that is not too beige and like the name says, a really pretty peach tone.

Zabrena, your pronunciation of pret a porter was so close! In French, “er” at the end of a word is pronounced “ay” (like “hay” or “day”). So it sounds like pret a portay. It’s a fashion term that means “ready to wear”. Good for you for giving it a try even though you weren’t familiar with the words! Languages can be so much fun if you’re willing to try! I KNOW purple eyeshadows can be formulated well, heck I have a $1 palette from Shop Miss A that is fantastic. I don't understand why these huge companies struggle so badly, I mean I know purples are harder to formulate, but it CAN be done. And if AOA can do it for $1, I feel sure Maybelline has the resources to figure it out. And surely if they can't get it right, they have consumer test markets that can try it and tell them not to bother releasing it!

@@sherylmeasel2165 the Lumi blushes are fantastic, the new bronzers (the single pans), eye primer, gel eyeliners, and the brushes are great as well. As a general rule of thumb I stick mostly to the AOA brand products, although I have a few gems from other brands they offer. If you're in doubt, read the reviews. And if it turns out you hate the product, it's less than $2 so you don't feel bad at all! ❤️ The worst products, in my opinion, are complexion. I avoid foundations, concealers, and powders (I do have a pressed translucent AOA powder which is awesome though) and I've only been disappointed a few times and I have purchased LOADS! Some of the eyeshadows weren't so great and I got a mascara or 2 that was trash. Not crazy about the lipsticks, but the lip glosses in the tubes are A-1!!

Zabrena the trick to the Maybelline lip is not to press your lips together during application! Use the wand to fill in upper and lower lips and do not press together. After a few minutes it is set and will be transfer resistant

I saw the eyeshadow cubes and as someone with a lot of eyeshadow pallets I hate the packaging, it takes up a lot of space for such a small amount of product. However I think for someone who is new to makeup or likes a minimal collection (they have one or 2 of these and ware it everyday) its very approachable for them.

That Maybelline purple palette review was so helpful to me. I struggle to find eyeshadow colors for my pale, cool-toned skin, and knowing the ones to avoid is half the battle.

The loreal eye cream concealer sounds cool!! Want to try that. Waterproof mascara yes please. I get panda eyes too often. Been using tubing mascara with very happy results Mom life….. blessings!

The L’Oréal eye serum in a concealer is old; it came out about 2 years ago. I’m not a fan of it at all and would not recommend it. I use it more as an eye cream when I’m putting on my serums and moisturizers before concealer, just to use it up. IMO it’s not at all worth the price.

2 tips on 2 of these great products you showed....with the Maybelline Vinyl lipstick, make sure to wipe the excess off the wand and it will both set faster and be transfer-proof. For the Kiss lashes, "Pret-A-Porter" is pronounced, "Pret-A-Portay" and it means, "Ready to Wear", as in fashion that is Ready to Wear vs Haute Couter. Hope these help.

Agreed about purple shadows. Decades ago from the 1970's Azzia and Halstead had the best purple shadows sure miss some of the old make up. Max Factor had the best fiber mascara. Coty had the best wet/dry foundation/powder combo. Prestige had one too but I can't find this brand anymore. Miss Maybelline blooming colors line. they had the best green mascara. I miss cake mascaras Maybelline and Max Factor had great products. Angel eyes by Kiss had a long fiber powder in white and black that really made your lashes super long. Again no longer to be found at least where I live. Too many of the brands now turn my skin orange after 15-30 minutes including Maybelline. Cover girl is not what it used to be either. Loved their nail polish back in the 80's. Cutex and Maybelline had good polish too. It's a shame companies think they have to change the products so much. Love your tutorials.

I disagree about those new Revlon eye palettes. They look amazing over primer and I really like how duochrome some of the shades are. I really want to try that No7 foundation because I've been using the Restore & Renew Serum Foundation and I love that one.

I hear you on lavender eyeshadows. I have a palette from Covergirl ages old, with a pale lavender color and keep it just remind myself of the color so that I can find one close to it. I bought the Revlon one and it's just okay, not awesome. I'll have to check out the Loreal concealer. So many concealers make skin over 12 years old look terrible and dry.

Great point about drugstore purple eyeshadows, so funny you mentioned that. I remember this old rimmel purple pallet I had and just scrubbing and scrubbing to get the color on my eye and I told myself, if I ever need a purple again, MAC it is!

The true match foundation is really nice from L'Oreal too in fact all of their foundations are good but for different skin types the infallible I'd say oily skin full Coverage but dry skin looks great too true match medium coverage great on dry or mature skin the nude serum one with the dropper is light coverage beautiful for dry or mature skin don't think oily skin would like it
