As someone who was in a similar situation, where my then 'partner' kept me locked in his apartment for nearly 4 years, I can attest to the fact that there are hardly any resources to help victims of this kind of trauma. There are very few resources out there, other than general therapy or hospitalization and it is genuinely saddening. What's even worse, is that there may be more victims of wrongful imprisonment out there who have yet to be found or escaped from these situations. Thank you for bringing this case to light, and I can genuinely sympathize with these poor women who were taken advantage of. (PS, sorry for any grammatical errors)

I remember there was a documentary on this a bit ago. It was so heartbreaking to see the fellow survivors sitting there and pointing the finger at Josephine. And they went so far as to TESTIFY FOR THE DEFENSE, for Gary. Sickening. It seems like the girls didn't get the help they needed after being rescued in order to see that Josephine did what she had to in order to rescue herself and them
@KellytheKittyLover Жыл бұрын
I mean, Josefina did some messed up things. WE all know that she was doing it to save them in the end, but if your eardrums were punctured because of her, or tortured by her, I think you’d probably blame her too, or at least at first. They’re all victims of horrific trauma, let’s not call any of their actions sickening.

why are so many murderers bed wetters? just something i've noticed. anyone know anything?
@MonicaSweetful5 жыл бұрын
Mars Wells It’s in the triad of sociopathy. They used to considered that sign of predicting future violence. Bed wetting, setting fires, and cruelty to animals were the factors they looked at for people predisposed to committing a violent act. I’m not sure if that’s still holds true today.

Once you get the smell of something decaying, it never leaves. It is extremely distinctive. This story is horrible. These poor girls.
@Sebadoh19954 жыл бұрын
Emily D I’m baffled by the cops who had the worst sense of smell ever. Burning a roast and a cooking a dead body can’t be anywhere near the same smell. I just can’t get over the fact that the smell lasted that long and if the neighborhood continued to complain of a smell how the heck did the cops not go back over there? A roast isn’t going to last that long.
@lunaluxx66174 жыл бұрын
@@Sebadoh1995 right?! I would have been like what kind of nasty roast are u cooking that smells like that?..its crazy!!!
@veronicamunoz98354 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I know that smells u can never forget that smell. Short story....I lived in Phoenix Arizona back in 2000” and this happened during July 😬 my family and my self use to live in an apartment complex where we had a older lady neighbor that we didn’t talk to or anything she kept to her self as we did but we would always see her leave to the grocery store every morning. One day we didn’t see her come out of her house but we didn’t think nothing of it. But than that one day Turned into a week and that’s when we started to smell that unforgettable smell. We called the cops. The old lady had a heart attack in her apartment. It smelled really bad u could never forget that smell.

The smell is very terrible, like someone rotting. (I have lived down the street from an old woman who died in her home. No one knew but the smell coming from the house you could smell from three houses down- it took two weeks before anyone knew she had passed away). There is no way you think it’s burnt food.
@sallymcherbi19964 жыл бұрын
You may have smelled her because she was rotting for so long. I’ve been in morgues and the smell is horrid and very distinctive, but a body doesn’t start to smell until 3 days after death. If he cooked her before those three days chances are it really did smell like a roast because a number of cannibals say humans taste and smell like pork.
@amethyst18263 жыл бұрын
Were he old womans windows open? Someone died near where we lived. Nobody suspected a thing as the poor guy often worked away from home. Then flies, I mean a lot of flies, were seen at windows. Mid summer. All the windows were closed up, that's partly why the neighbours assumed he was away...then came the worrying sight of the flies and, tho they tried, no-one could get hold of him! So police were called and the poor guy had, unfortunately, died of natural circumstances and had been there quite a few weeks!!
