The black charcoal Boscia mask leaves quite a few pores "dyed" black. Ugh. I love how it pulls the gunk out but the black dots do not wash off for a day or two. Cheers, Lulu

I kind of think sample size mascaras are better in general, because it is new product. You know it hasn't been sitting in the store forever, drying out from the lights in whatever display it is sitting in. Also, you go through the sample in a shorter amount of time and product isn't wasted. Do we ever really know when we run out of mascara? No. Because the packaging doesn't allow us to see what's in there. And you may be right... they may be including extra love in those samples.

The stuff that balls up in the Peter Thomas Roth exfoliating gel is cellulose, which clings to dead skin and rolls it away. I agree the marketing is misleading, but it's still a good product. The cellulose balls look a lot more grey if there are dead skin cells in them, so I think that's how they get around Sephora's "don't lie to clients," rule because you can still see it working. It's a really great product for skin that can't tolerate traditional peels and scrubs, but if you're using other strong exfoliants it's probably not something you need.

It seems like Sephora often has it as some kind of sample. Right now I think they have it as part of a 500 point perk. I also peeled it off in one piece (it's really creepy looking lol) and had fun grossing out my husband. 😉

I feel the same way about the hourglass bronzers. I heard so many youtubers rave about them so I was shocked when I went into sephora and swatched them to see how over the top glittery they are. I was expecting them to be like most of the ambient lighting powders and have a subtle amount of shimmer/glow from within, I was not expecting the shimmer bomb that these bronzers are!

UDs Perversion is my fave mascara recently too. And yes! I completely agree about the sample sizes being better! I don't know what it is about them, but formula is so much better.

try the pond's cold cream cleanser to remove eye makeup! My mom has used it all her life and now I swear by it. the only eye makeup remover I will ever use!

I only use sample mascaras. I don't like to buy the full sized ones because I never use them all/finish and just kept buying more. I used to have so many that I would not use/finish and basically they just end up being bad/expired. Had to throw them all away. So now I buy sample size ones and I think it's better because I don't use them for a long time before I finish it. I think its more sanitary :) Maybe I'm weird or something but my personal preference:)

I've wanted to find a good mascara for so long and everyone keeps telling me to try Benefits Roller Lash but every product I've bought from benefit has been my version of a 'flop' so I'm so reluctant but now I'm so tempted to try the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara! So thank you!

I use the Simple cleansing water (not the eye makeup one, just the face one) for my eye makeup and it works fine for me. It's never burned my eyes and it's a little slower than the Sephora version. But the Sephora one would burn my eyes!

I know exactly what you mean about the sample mascaras being so much better than the full size version & I really think it has to do with the wand length. The shorter wand gives us more control when applying it.

I had a really great experience with the Peter Thomas Roth peel stuff. I'm very fair and had a couple stubborn dark marks from acne on my skin that have been there for months. Like, the kind you have to cover with concealer because they're so pigmented. After one use of this, the mark on my forehead was so much lighter! I've used it four times now and it's pretty much gone. I understand that the product rolls onto itself, but it has still worked great for me.

If you are hesitant to get the full size of the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara Sephora has a travel size version. I believe it is $12. Hope that helps with whether you want to try the mascara again.

The Sephora brand cleansing water is really great! It doesn't burn my eyes at all, and it removes makeup really easily. Also, now that the Laura Mercier artist eye palette is back in stock (and I think no longer limited edition) , I would LOVE to see a get ready with me or tutorial with it :)

Loved the video but I think I prefer having favorites and flops in separate videos. I love the urban decay perversion mascara too and I have the full size! I never had a sample so I'm not sure how it compares but I would say buy the full size :)

I use the simple cleansing water and it works on my eye makeup. but then again I don't really wear a whole lot of eye makeup besides Mac paint pot, mascara and occasionally eyeliner. I also usually have to use a lot of cotton pads to get off the mascara with it so idk it does work though.

A sure way to test the peter thomas roth peeling gel is to try it on a glass surface and a q-tip. Don't use your finger because there is skin on your finger.

Tiffany if you end up buying the full-size sample of the perversion mascara go to Ulta they have a two pack full-size for like $26 or $28 such a great value almost like 2-for-1 and I found that it is almost as good as the sample lol

Your makeup looks great today! Are you wearing a powder foundation? I can never get enough coverage with powder/ mineral foundations. Have you tried the Peter Thomas Roth Peeling Gel/ Gel Exfoliant? It works great, and gives you that immediate gratification that you were mentioning with the mask you talked about. It's great when you can see skin care working. You literally can see the dead skin balling up and falling off your skin with the peeling gel. Gross, I know, but it works! If you haven't tried it, grab a sample the next time you are in Ulta or Sephora!

I got a Mophe case for my iphone5 and it was a lifesaver for the horrible battery of that model phone. Wasn't crazy about how heavy the case made my phone, but hey trade off. I recently got a 6 and don't have the same battery issues.

I felt the same way about the simple.cleansing makeup remover. I wear contacts and I had to take them out immediately because of how bad it burned my eyes. I didn't want to waste it so Saturday when I washed my brushes I soaked my eye brushes in the makeup remover for about a minute and it helped clean them. I won't repurchase.

Perversion full size is 100% as good as the sample size. Everytime I wear it I get asked if I am wearing falsies (and I'm not).
