I can not tell you enough how incredibly grateful I am that you do these videos for all the CP palettes! I truly hope you never stop doing them. You have saved me so much money over the years by preventing me from buying dupes within the brand. And you have also helped me find some absolutely amazing holy grail palettes that I would have not even considered buying, because they are not what I usually gravit towards. I'm just so glad it's "ok" for adult ladies to want cute products. At my age, I don't GAF if people hate it, but it's so much easier to FIND good quality makeup that's also cute and not just meant for a non-discriminating 10-year-old. I want all my makeup to be Jason Vorhees, Pokemon, and cats. :p

The palette is perfect for fair cool toned skin. Most shadows are just too deep and too punchy and look like clown makeup, but these light cool tones are amazing! Is the formula good enough to layer a shimmer over a full matte lid? The club nebula palette did that a lot - deep mattes with super light iridescent toppers.

I’m Canadian and this was the first palette I got days after release thanks to my brother that was in Chicago for a few days 😂 Those shimmers are so gorgeous and I’m not really a matte gal so I knew this was truly love at first sight!

Thank you for the really clear swatches, especially of the jelly shadows and the comparisons! I couldn't find many clear swatches of the jelly shadows. The final eye look was beautiful on you! And when you said they're mostly shimmers, I was sold! I wish palettes only did mostly shimmers LOL but I can see how that might not be what other people want. Thanks for a great video!

Very helpful review! I knew it would be similar to Aurora Struck, but wow I'm amazed at just HOW similar. I like the challenge of playing with a more pared down version of the palette and seeing how many looks I can do, so I may make a copycat of this in one of my small empties and have some fun :)

I really love this entire collection. Since I’ve been into lighter shades and cheek products without a ton of glitter, I was so happy to see what they did here! The only thing I didn’t love are the lid lipsticks and lipgloss colors. They could have done some cooler and lighter colors to compliment the shades in the palette, IMO.

When I first saw this palette, I was like ooooh I want that. Then I thought about it and realized how similar it is to the Aurora Struck palette, which I was so gaga over when it came out that I ordered it immediately, which I never do with eyeshadow palettes. I lovvvve that color story so much, but the truth is that probably at least half the colors aren’t really that flattering on me. A few of the shades are absolute favorites, but mostly I love just having that palette to look at it and oooh and ahhh over it 😄 I definitely don’t need to buy this Snowman palette to do the same with it!

I’ve been waiting for your video on this collection! I haven’t bought new makeup in months, but when I saw the palette I had to pick it up. I love Frosty but I also don’t have any cool toned palettes and I’ve really been wanting one like it. Weird that they reused the name “Snow Much Fun” considering that was the name of the Hello Kitty palette (also only one of two palettes in my 100+ collection that has barely any color payoff, the other being the Miss Bliss palette that came out with the tie dye collection)

That is weird, because when they first started they didn't want to reuse names. That's why the names were so random and the Kathleen Lights zodiac collection added "the" in front of the names. That was years ago and they release a lot, so figures that they might have a different philosophy now.

I truly love Colourpop, but I'm often underwhelmed by their releases. I think this is a really good one. Very cohesive, very wintery & icy, I think I'll skip the palette but definitely get the highlighter, lip kits, individual eyeshadows. I'm disappointed there wasn't a blush included. This would have been a perfect opportunity to do a blush that is also kind of like a highlighter, blushlighter I think some call it. Either way, thanks for all the comparisons!

I was initially excited for this collection but I don't feel any FOMO for passing on it. I had the same thoughts about the eyeshadow palette and how basically half the shades are too similar. With this colour story, it would have made more sense to have a 12-pan palette. Also, why did they bundle the highlighters together? That's a lot of highlighter for one customer, and again, they're too similar. I feel it would have been best to release them separately or just release one shade.

I am so happy that you reviewed this palette, because totally agree with you. I am very fair, with blue eyes and these shades would look like nothing on me. I really think they should have had a few pale frosty shades, and instead added some matte shades for contrast. Even though l am a glitter shadow lover, l won't be purchasing this.Thanks Amanda!!!

Ended up ordering jelly much shadow set-usually the SS eyeshadows are my favorites of the collections. Still looking for something similar to this one like the color story but prefer makeup to be vegan. In weird way kinda reminds me of the revolution dreamer palette-colors are not really the exact same. That one has good mix of light and midtone colors mostly shimmers. Liked aurora struck but was too big and didnt like all the dark colors.

Super pretty…. I think this is an example of the youtuber/regular consumer opinion differences. KZbinrs in general, from what I have seen, have enormous collections, the average consumer does not. I think at times we see things from an almost opposite vantage point. I think any consumer interested in this palette, knows they are only getting soft pastel light looks from it, and that coupled with nostalgia are why they want it. Quality is the yay or nay factor. KZbinrs are looking at it as possibly an all day every day versatility option, which of course it would not be great for. The regular consumer that has one or two day to day palettes may love this for something completely different, to use once in a while. Idk just my thoughts.

Idk I had a huge collection before I started my channel 🤣 there are a LOT of non-KZbinrs that are big time makeup lovers and collectors! I would argue those folks are the true target demographic for most ColourPop releases. And there are lot of KZbinrs who keep a minimal collection for whatever reason. For anyone who is looking for a “fun” extra option with these colors, my recommendation remains the same - the Jelly Much shadows are the way to go!
