Namekawa's performance is sublime. My appreciation for Glass's music has really grown in the last year or so. I was captivated by Mishima (Closing) when I first heard it (and there are some exceptional interpretations) but its full expression can only really be appreciated as the culmination of the entire work. Love it. Love it. Love it.

Maki Namekawa plays Glass's piano music better than anyone I have ever heard. She has it in her soul. I love everything about this video, except that it ends.

Listen to Valentina Lisitsa play Metamorphosis 4, she makes everybody else-myself especially"- sound 2-dimensional. Can I also recommend the Etude No.6 played by the Davin/Levin Duo?-you will not be disappointed!

Extraordinary and beautiful! Simply listening to it makes me proud to be a human. There are so many threads running through the original, it is very difficult to arrange this music for a solo piano. This performance deserves 10,000 thumbs up. Ah! I must add a note of appreciation to the marvelous graphics included. Wonderful addition to a marvelous piece of music!
