I barely had time to write letters but that made phone calls that much better

My son just made Dorm Chief. He was 2nd Element Leader & A Monitor Controller, but he’s afraid of getting fired. He’s also up for “Honor Grad”. I’m just really proud of him. ♥️🤍💙🇺🇸 My Future Airman

I leave for BMT in 5 days and I really want to be Dorm Chief. Im somewhat apprehensive because I’m not sure if I would be a good leader. I have children so I have the experience of leading but leading others in tasks that I myself do not know how to do, is scary. Any suggestions?

I recommend you to constantly volunteer for task and to try your best to get along with the flight. Express your want to be dorm chief through your actions! If for some reason you do not become the dorm chief, you may become an element leader which is also very important. If you ever feel comfortable enough though, ask your MTI what it takes to become a dorm chief - this will allow you to pinpoint exactly what they are looking for in a leader GOOD LUCK!
