I wish Tomura Shigaraki (MHA) would be a bit more similar to Makima. After developing from the man-child he was in the beginning of the story and finds bonds within the league he would became a somewhat deep character that uses his Decay not only to destroy and give his destruction the purpose to recreate society where young Tenko wouldn't become the monster that is Tomura Shigaraki. The point is he would turn from childish and morally black to a messiah to his people and morally grey.

For everyone wondering: [HEAVY SPOILERS!!] So this girl, her name is Makima, is a Devil. The Control Devil to be exact. The guy who calls her a liar is Kishibe. He's a devil hunter and also Denjis mentor. Now, Makima is undercover, meaning no one has a clue that she's a devil. She has pretty much two goals: 1) Be together with Chainsawman (The Chainsaw Devil who currently inhabits a human named Denji. Denji is the protagonist of the manga/anime. And he's a simp for Makima, however, Makima is only interested in Deniis heart, not actually him. Because like i said, the Chainsaw Devil only inhabits him. He's basically just a vessel.) 2) Have control over as much as possible, preferably the whole world. Denii ends up.. eating Makima to gain strenght. Very symbolic, very... emotional? and very illegal! But jot in the universe of chainsawman i guess. As far as i am aware Kishibe is still alive, which is very surprising, but it's been a while since I've read the first part of the manga as the second part is currently airing. Btw, no Denji is no longer a protagonist in the second part.

This isnt entirely right. Makima wants to control the chainsaw devil because his ability is everything he eats is removed from existence including memories and records of it. So he wants to use the Chainsaw Devil to create her perfect world without war, hunger, etc. Basically control everything and everyone. Denji doesnt eat her to become stronger, he eats her as a way to "kill her" and she wanted to be eaten by Pochita, so Denji ate her in his human form instead as a form of petty revenge. Since Denji simply killed her, didnt eat her as the chainsaw devil, she reincarnated into a little girl called Nayuta since devils just respawn in Hell unless eated by the chainsaw devil, which is why he is so important and feared. Kishibe is the strongest devil hunter, and it is shown here since he is not afraid of Makima at all. He is very much still alive along with Kobeni, but we still haven't seen them in Part 2.
