I loved the interactions between the three of them in the last few episodes: Grog showed incredible humanity when he started talking about his past. It wasn't easy for him, and although he's usually shown as a big dumb goliath, he understand many things, including the danger his friends would be in if he can't protect them (before he had never hesitated to throw himself into the fight, no matter the consequences). Pike always stood by Grog and forgave him without hesitation. It was nice to see her backstory as well, how she and her grandfather saved Grog and how their bond started. Scanlan, who is not usually remembered for his strength, was physically and emotionally strong for his friends: I loved the way he took care of first Pike and then Grog. Especially the way he carried Grog all the way and how he cheered him up when his big buddy wanted to give up all hope. I loved that Pike saw this side of Scanlan for the first time and she is slowly starting to reciprocate his feelings for her (the way she was attracted to him in ep 7 and how she flirted with him in ep 9 was sweet) and he, although usually a Casanova and who has no problem bedding men and women, is awkward in front of her girl he has sincere feelings for. TLoVM is pure Gold.

Ashley took the physical letter and read it immediately after Pike got it. It's a great scene and a beautiful moment. They never revealed what the letter said until the campaign was over and Sam read it. Not going to spoil it but it was very beautiful. Basically, Pike started falling for Scanlan, and she fell HARD after reading a letter that Scanlan thought she wouldn't read until he died. She just happened to start falling for him just as he gave up on her so their dynamic hilariously switched.

I think this scene more than any other encapsulates the amount of love and care put into this show. It references a fun joke from the original show, it's a fun character scene, and you can absolutely tell the actors are enjoying themselves with this song. The Legend of Vox Machina is the very definition of the term "Passion Project" because everyone involved is putting their heart and soul into every part of the show. I just wish I didn't have to wait till 2024 for the next season, assuming that's when it releases
