Why would you prefer to have chain drive? Belt drive requires no maintenance, no adjustments, quieter, cleaner and has the same performance. Proven in harley davidson vrod and other models.

I agree, and belt is lighter but also quite an expense for the conversion. However, I recall reading somewhere the belt drive is around 2-5% less efficient than the chain?!🤔

Very nice naman nito 😊 Sir no experience po ako mag drive ng scooter or motorcycle sa super highway e nabanggit nyo po mabigat ito, mahihirapan kaya ako i-drive ito sa mga highway? 5'4 lng kc ako pero hndi nmn ako payat, my experience naman ako sa automatic at manual transmission motorcycle na less than 200cc and also mag drive ng 4 wheels s mga highway.

Change the plugs to the NGK Iridium ones (CR7EIX). Easier (very) cold weather starting, smoother cold idle, and a small (but noticeable) improvement in fuel economy (pays for the added plug costs in a year's riding if you're a longer distance commuter). Noticeable mid and top end performance, seen as an increase in max. speed from 190kph to 195kph.

I can't remember but I saw a review of a bike and they basically put a small tablet up front for the clocks, speedometer and tachometer. I have to say that it really looked like crap. This is a much more elegant solution on the AK 550. Looks good.

There's actually two belts on the AK 550. There's the drive belt that you can see going to the rear wheel and then there is a smaller belt inside that cvt. The cvt is the big metal thing on the right side of the bike, just behind the engine. Usually scooters use a single belt and the cvt is mounted between the engine and the rear wheel. Having separate belts gives the AK the true motorcycle feel that most scooters lack. I think they call it sprung weight. By keeping the rear wheel lighter, it can handle imperfections in the road a lot better. Some people say that is a problem with shaft drive motorcycles, they have all that weight moving around and it can make the handling sloppy.

Most people don't realize how much more comfortable a maxi scooter is and the difference in performance is getting to be less of an issue. 30 horsepower can get you going to 90 mph. 50 horsepower is plenty for most anyone.
