We might know little about staff and personnel, but here's what we think could happen this year
Sherrone Moore is still hiring coaches, the Wolverines are still looking to retain their roster and certainly will add names in the transfer portal down the road, so we really don't know what the team will look like come fall. @@pkk8526 in the 90's U of M won 5, Ohio State 4. The only "down" decade in 50 years. THUS, U of M had to be "soft" in the vast majority of those 50 years. MORE softness for U of M than Ohio State. U Of M was softer in 8 out of 11 years from 2001 to the present LOLOL Do the required research instead of bloviating

Who are they losing that they can't replace? They're not losing any key players to the portal, so I'm lost. They're about to hire Joe Cullen (from reports) and will likely have a TE Coach and LB Coach by Sunday (hopefully).

@sdb1218 Nothing is until it is. Players tend to leave when they lose their coordinators and position coaches, then have other programs tampering to entice them away. I don't know that anyone will leave, but with every coach that leaves, it increases that chance. If you think Will Johnson, Kevin Grant, and Mason Graham are easily replaced... then I got nothing for you.

My 1o bold predictions are: 1: Ben Hall will take a big share of carries 2: Defense will not take a major step back 3: Cabana will be used in multiple ways, not just RB.... I know not very bold. 4: Michigan will make the playoffs 5: Michigan will start paying more for nil 6: who ever plays cb2 will be a stud by the end of the season 7: Morgan and Morris will be the top wr (even if a transfer comes in) 8: we will see Davis play multiple games (like JJ) and he won't be able to redshirt 9: some time during the NFL season we will see regret on Jim's face for leaving. 10: Michigan will win 1o games.... I seen 8.5 gms is the over under (also I predicted Michigan will make playoffs). *(Bonus ) 11: Michigan will surprise everyone, this team will be the team who wins a few different games, that no one thinks they can.

Yes, we just won the Natty. Yes, I’m still VERY happy about it. Yes, I think we’ll be competitive. But the reality is this weather we want to admit it or not…we’re gonna make a shitty bed that we’ll have to lay in if we don’t evolve and ensure top tier talent stays/comes in (portal). This roster is gritty but no where near what Ohio State or Georgia has. If we don’t want a one and done we have to be more aggressive.

If you are comparing rosters to OSU and Georgia by how many 5 ⭐ players they have, we'll never match up. But fortunately, the culture that we've created the schemes on offensive defense in our players ability to utilize all their skills will always trump looking good on paper

Ohio State returns eight on defense. Two linebackers leave and are likely replaced by Sonny Styles (5 star) CJ Hicks (5 star) and at safety Caleb Downs (5 star). My bold prediction - Michigan will not be the best defense in the Big 10 this year.
