The 1st thing I would do with $100.00 a day extra is to pay my expenses. Next I would educate the young about travel and about how it will affect them now and in the future. Our children need to learn and understand the language and culture of the people that are coming from abroad and owning local stores and busnesses in their neighborhoods and how to get along with them and have them get along with us.

Hey Cyndi - in Florida one cannot simply charge a planning fee if it's outside the commission structure of the agency. It begins with the host agency. The agent is not free to simply tack on extra fees in Florida. Severe penalties if caught. All agents should check on their state laws regulating the industry in their home state. The amazon store is a great idea!

Hi Arla! We have 4 different training classes based off your business needs. The purpose of a host agency is so you can book under their CLIA/IATA numbers so you don't have to get your own under your own agency. Most travel agents start under a host and if they like working under their host, they usually stay for a while. On the other hand, some travel agents want to start their own travel agencies right away. I hope that helps! @@wanderlustceo I've always been a wandering soul and have traveled all over the US, a few islands, and several countries. I've planned many vacations including itineraries but just for fun. I currently work a physical 12 hr shift job and I want something more flexible for my toddlers and teens so I'm not continuously missing out on their lives. I truly have always had the passion and desire to be a travel advisor but it didn't line up with my life before and now I am in the right position for this opportunity. So I am putting one foot forward in this right direction.

@@wanderlustceo I have actually just finished attending! I feel like it happened so fast and would love to attend it again if possible? You know the niche is really the irony of life. I am and have always been afraid of boats. Haha. Big or small! I do, however recognize the industry for cruises and perhaps that is the ultimate 'conquer your fears' moment. It isn't commission or sales, I've done sales for 15 years including life insurance, annuities, and investments. So I would say my Niche is land and sea(and ocean 😉). I love road trips! I want to give people the opportunity to see the beauty of my country. And I love the beauty and cultures of other countries, so I want to share those excursions as well. By doing that, I want to develop my love for the majestic deep blue, by way of cruises. I want to inspire people to travel our world while they inspire me, without them even knowing, by their desire to cruise the world.

Hahaha for sure! If you have another email, you can register under that one so you can watch it again. That is awesome to hear about. I would suggest narrowing your niche down a bit more as Land/Sea is very broad. As a new agent, it is good to focus on one niche & expand as you become more knowledgable. Some people have a niche in Cruises or Disney or National Parks. It really just depends on what you love to sell. You just want to show that you are passionate & knowledgable about a particular niche. Obviously you aren't always going to know the answer to things but you can always do more research. Knowledge comes with time!

I can invite a group of people to my business as 1099 employees I become The travel coach of the group of people they get to use my license, my vendors and such then from that group of people I get 10% commission per person on what they sale. Is that correct?

@@disneyadventuresbylucy243 No worries! That totally depends on how you set up your business. If you hire 1099 staff, make sure you are following the 1099 rules. You can make your split whatever you want them to be for your staff. You'll want to be set up as an independent agency before starting this, so you are earning 100% of commission from vendors, then you can pay your contractors the best split (and make more yourself) and retain your key players.
