I do reselling full time, 4 kids under 9, we homeschool our kids, and my wife helps me source and do customer service. It works great. We implemented a lot of your strategies into my own style and it really propelled us to the next level. I do work pretty much 7 days a week, but it is a lot better offer than me leaving for 60 hours a week and being away from my family. I am home almost all day unless I am closing a deal. It is a lot of fun. I am cleaning a massive pile of nice clothes right now while listing to this episode.

Great podcast 👍🏼 I just went to the Goodwill bins for the first time, I found so many great items, including a Patagonia down jacket (with company logo embroidered in the back) that honestly looks new. The location I went to is in Downtown San Diego where is $2 a piece, and if you buy 15 items is $1.80 a piece including jackets and dresses. I thought it was going to be a bad experience, but everyone was super friendly, including the staff members.

I have really realized that I enjoy sourcing so much more than listing so I need to upgrade my sourcing a lot so that I can get the items that get the higher prices. That means sometimes I will have to spend up. That’s OK. I feel really fortunate that I did eBay before and when I go back into it, I have a much more complete perspective on how I want to set up my business and to meet a different kind of goal than I was before. I liked what I was doing before but while I am good at listing, it is not my favorite thing.

That is so funny that you would pile the hats like that. Thats exactly how i do them still since i only grab 1 or 2 each trip. When i need an easy listing day, i grab the tote of hats out and bang em out.

I think it’s more that when you list hats, customers looking for hats come to your store and may buy something else you have listed. Regardless, good to bring eyes in with listing a variety of items.

They have a very slow sell through and are saturated be sure to only get the good ones

I tried the bins one day, when the tables came out , people attacked, I took so long to look ar an item, I usually got nothing. How do they recognize the good stuff so quickly?
