It's a shame that videogame critics weren't too kind to this game. As a fan of the series I played this with a smile on my face from start to finish. I think it's a great game on its own but it's also really a huge gift to the fans. It's clear that they put in all the effort in the world and the result has the same extremely high quality the show always had.

this game was hugely underrated. after having finally been able to get it to work on pcsx2, playing has me hooked on its gameplay and story. sure it has faults, but i think they come from an unchecked ambition on the project; instead of focusing and perfecting the on foot segments, they added decent, if touchy driving mechanics and some genuinely well thought out minigames.

@TheDutchLucas there's things in that game, like the interrogation mechanic, that made their way into much better games. The dialogue system in the newer deus ex games is essentially ripped from 24

I loved it. I would like to play in the higher platform now but I understand it take alot of efforts to make it happen. Anyways great job to whoever involved on making this game. As a player, it was really fun to play.

lot of effort, plus it makes no financial sense to sony, 24 has been off the air for years, the spinoff series was criticized heavily, and the game was a huge disappointment at time of release. at least now, with a 2020 developer version of pcsx2, you can finally emulate it (the game has had a tough time on the emulator because of something with the EE--i dont know much about it but no stable release of pcsx2 will emulate it well.)

You get to control most of the main characters in this game - Jack, Tony, Kim, Chase and if there are others I can't recall them offhand right now (been a while since I last played this game). You don't get a choice over who you control - one mission requires one character and the game alternates which ones you control and which part of the storyline you follow while using this character. It's a good game, this. A bit rough around the edges but well executed nonetheless. Worth a playthrough :)

+Blahsheep Well, probably because the game didn't do very well, it's game play was-well....people are giving this game 2/5 and personally, it's a guilty pleasure of mine but still. I don't think they wanted to make another port after it flopped but if you got a beast of a PC, you could TRY to emulate it but when I did it-um....no....just-NO!

Sorry, I've no idea. I've only played a very small bit (a long time ago) and I don't believe there was an option to choose any other character - at least not at the start. Hopefully someone who has played it a lot will come up with the answer for you.

definitely has flaws, but is so charming with how well it emulates the series, and has clear care put into it. i think it would've been a smart move to shift development to PS3 instead of the PS2 (it even came out after the PS3) and given it another two years. we could've seen a really excellent game, but the one we got is actually solid enough.
