Making 3D Printer parts from 5083 Aluminium

I decided it was time to replace some hacked up factory parts and some 3D Printed parts with 5083 Marine grade Aluminium parts made on my mostly home-built CNC machine. I'm very happy with the results.

Well done. The angle of your belt attaching to the carriage will cause dimensional inaccuracies moving to the outer limits, or not?

You are correct, the belt angle was not ideal. That was a previous version of my StealthBurner mount - I’ve since finished the design and published it. www.printables.com/model/437977-voron-stealthburner-mount-with-bltouch-for-mega-ze

I was about to say the same thing! I think it would be fine in the middle but towards the ends of the x-axis throw, when the angled portion hits the pulley it’ll speed up/go farther.

Looks great! Nice! What kind of feeds+speeds did you end up with when milling ali? Just finishing my 500W spindle upgrade with similar linear rails and trying to decide how greedy to be :)

I ran my spindle at full speed and Feeds ranged from 250mm/m (plunge) to 1000mm/m (cutting) depending on the operation. I was using a 3.1mm 1Flute bit for Aluminium.
