Well, I do not suggest to install 8 motors... yet

First to find the requisite spur gear!

I used AX30724 motor gears and AX31027 56T spur gear, but I think other gears have similar sizes.

Now what to do about accommodating *eight* motors!?! :o P.S. Beware the one wonky motor that dies then drags the others down - i've fried several DC motors in dual configurations, not realizing one motor had lost its connection, that kind of thing.

Great fun! But it'll be very top heavy, and I wonder about the durability of the 3D printed plastic. I recommend that you at least use washers under every screw head.

Its all about gear ratio. I got a 35T 550 motor pulling more than this.

What I think that could make sense in the developement of an offroader would be hubmotors in each wheel like they are used in E-bycicles. No differetials would be needed and you would get more groundclearance beetween the wheels of an axis.

Stock chassis are quite powerful. Just getting one and see what goes naturally is an interesting adventure. I added motors to have a power reserve for a heavier body.

I tried to make motor set to occupy less space. That's why it is round, one motor placed below the frame. It takes a bit more space than dual motor. The cat said meow

I connected two motors to one ESC by splitting the wires. For four motors I used two ESCs, double motor each.

why not just add a 1/8th scale brushless motor? more power than you would EVER need in an rc. trust me, i know. going 40+mph then going full throttle equals a backflip on my traxxas slash! if it doesnt become an airplane first that is!
