Put a slot insert down your table so you can use a fence if you want an easy way to get true 90 degrees, nice build

Nice work. One of the nicer sander builds I’ve seen on KZbin. You might want to try to add a center pin to the slotted board so you don’t have to readjust the platen up toward the disc each time you reset the angle. But that might call for a complete redesign of the slotted side boards. Happy sanding!

This is the video I needed. I knew what I wanted to do, but I like to byld off of successful ideas. There are others, but they don't explain what why and how they're doing. It's like watching a round of cherades. So thanks bud. Liked and subscribed.

Cool project bro. Maybe, for safeties sake, attach the flange to the disc with nuts and bolts instead of screws.

Excellent! Would be nice to have 3 phase and a controller to vary the RPM and have brakes.
@iljanster3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! Its 3 phase. I can kinda adjuat the speed depending on how close to the center I grind. The further away from the center the faster it grinds. And yea it spins a long time after I switch it off but hey I don’t mind 😅
@Bob_Adkins3 жыл бұрын
@@iljanster Yes, there's s huge difference in SFM at the center and edges of a big 20" disk. I can even notice it on my 8".

Great job on the build! You might want to consider pre-marking the angles on your adjustable bed to make it easier/quicker to find the pitch you want. Also, will you be putting it on wheels to make it mobile like everything else in your shop? Love the vids, keep it up!
@iljanster4 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot bro! This machine is kinda stationary so I don’t think I will be moving it a lot, so I think I don’t really need the wheels for it plus I only have one place where I can plug it in my shop for now

My first time seeing your posts, but thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. Your attitude is great and you made this video a pleasure to watch. I'm in the process of making my own disc sander, so watching you do it was definitely helpful and as I said, a pleasure to watch. Motivated me to speed up my own build. Thanks and keep on making videos.

@@oliverljong1420 I wouldn’t want to go with anything smaller then 6mm. Even 6mm is pretty extreme I think
