This actually seems like a very doable beginner project. Even the pcb. I will give this a try. Thank you for the video

is calibrating permanent? or you need to do it every time you power the tool on?
@enginerdy11 ай бұрын
It’s probably temperature dependent. Check the datasheet for accuracy figures.

Suggestion: display the angle in percent as well as in degrees. A beeper would be nice at both 0° and 90° or better, above or below a selectable threshold. And the digits could be as big as possible, and always upright...

Nice, will make an improved version of this and include these as well.

Maybe use a solid base on which the entire pcb sits on. Using a double sided tape does not make sure that the entire tool is sturdy even after calibrating in the long run.

Crazy idea so hear me out. Since you know the length of the levels body. Why not convert and calculate Degrees to millimeters instead? You can show on display arrows either left or right side is up or down. Show how many millimeters the difference is with 1 or 2 decimal points. To add percision and not fluctuate number on screen only display value of 5 reading average on screen. Do measurements in every 100ms so board can keep up. Oh, and add capacitor to Ultrasonic to smooth out the supply and you get more accurate and smoother reading.
