That looks sooooo good!!! Nice job!!! My comment about the bamboo was strictly about where you cut it from and it growing back, not the cut pieces themselves... gosh, could you imagine??? 😂😂😂 I can't believe you already have critters digging... little b@stards!!! They know what's coming... FOOD!!! One stop shopping... Can't wait for the next video!!!

What an awesome way to use natural products in your environment!!! Bamboo and Kudzu vines!!! I read online that there are bamboo furniture companies in Georgia and surrounding states, which makes sense because it grows well in that environment. But apparently, they use a specific kind of bamboo, so not all bamboo is the same. But your bamboo works great for raised garden beds!!! Good going, Fi, for helping your mom!!! 😀

You never cease to amaze me with your many talents. The one time I tried gardening, I lost all the labels and forgot what was planted where in the bed and the rock garden I’d nearly killed myself making was viewed by my mother (a keen and successful gardener) after which, she asked who was buried there. I now confine myself to killing pot plants that people give me 😖

I love the bamboo. What a blessing to have such a nice supply. I am concerned though that the plastic would hold in all the water and you would have a bog garden? Might be great for growing bog plants though. I think if it was me, I would use bamboo poles placed on the inside as well. I would skip the plastic, it is extra cost and will disintegrate quickly anyway, and then place poles in the gaps from the inside as you fill up the dirt. You could even wire them into place as you went. You could also just use the bags the dirt comes in on the sides and skip the bottom and leave it for drainage.
@savingthecabin10 ай бұрын
It’s not a solid plastic, it’s a liner made for garden beds. You can see through it, it’s like a mesh.

I wonder if it would be cheaper to order bulk soil for the beds? Also will you use the spring for your water source?
@savingthecabin10 ай бұрын
The garden isn’t far from the well, I’ll just hook up to it for water. And as for soil, I’m afraid the bulk will be too hard to get through the trees.

Good possibility that was an Armadillo digging holes in your soil. They dig holes like that looking for bugs and grubs. Just another guest to add to the menagerie. That's life in the woods.
