This beat specifically sounds like an East Coast beat produced somewhere between 1993 -1995, like it just screams of that particular time and place. Now we just need someone who can rap over it in an equally authentic way.

It's a shame we've 'moved on', sampling was much more than mere theft, it opened us up to new genres, educated us of artists past, passed torches and revived careers (in some cases even got long overdues paid), it's a huge missing piece in todays bleak empty beats imo

It's become a tad trickier to just pull up any old vinyl and start sampling off the fly bc major Labels now know that there's money to be made in that area so now Producers avoid sampling as a whole or..... go to websites like "Tracklib" and 'e-Dig' for samples. You pay a small fee for the License then the website takes care of the rest. I personally use samples from anywhere BUT if I try to make a small profit from the Instrumental outside of "Tracklib" or similar?, I make it CLEAR in contract that whoever purchases the Track that they are to sort out Clearances with all Label &other parties

it sure is, but you soon will notice that youre limited to the 10 seconds worth of sampling time that comes with the SP. i would at least use it with a rack sampler like one from the akai S- series :) other than that it really doesn’t matter what gear you’re using as long as the music you produce is dope😎

Vincetrumentals just say the snare is dope but maybe not your preference. Keep it kind, don't lie.
