I loved this video and I have an unrelated question: why do you use litter instead of puppy pads? I’m thinking about switching to puppy pads because they seem easier, but you have a bunch of ferrets and still use litter, is there a specific reason for that? :)

There are a few different reasons that I prefer litter. Litter is a lot cheaper (at least for me). I clean my boxes twice a day and if I were to also clean puppy pads twice a day I'd be going through about 6-8 pads a day which is... a lot. I have to clean up this often because 5 ferrets make a lot of poop haha. The second reason is that litter is more environmentally friendly (unless using reusable puppy pads, of course). My litter is biodegradable, as opposed to puppy pads which have plastic in them. I find litter also holds smell better, because it absorbs more than puppy pads do. Aaaaand lastly, I just like the look of litter boxes better haha. I do have one puppy pad right by the door, because a litter box wouldn't fit where it is and my girls are always wanting to poop there.
