I worked there in the An Arbor plant in 1979 when Ed Kokmyer owned it. Everything was manual then I was a machine builder With Leroy Andrioli. Brings back memories.

Very interesting, and informative. Excellent Job! Post some broaching companies. The helical broach was particularly interesting. More detail on the form grinding of the wheels would be awesome. Again you guys are awesome

Ok dumb question time. About how much does one of those huge broaches cost for cutting, say, a 12" spine. I saw a broaching operation when I toured a machine shop once. I would be scared I would drop it. They had a bunch of them on a rack for cutting different size splines. They were all TiN coated.

Weird, I was just looking up how it's made. Then I saw a part on inserts, then I saw a segment on endmills. And now, American Broach, a company I send stuff to two times a week.

Being that you send out heat treating to pro's, why not do this with your videos. If your product quality is like your video quality any prospective customer will surely go to the competition, Even a boss's son couldn't do a worse job.

I agree, and even with this very limited video production I could easily make a superior infomercial. I would gladly do it for a few tools, or even a bundle of tool-steel cut-offs for my shop. Oops, sorry to dredge up such an old comment, have a great week...the Farmer.
