Making a camping kitchen

I needed a camping kitchen for in my tent, and wanted something easy to carry and set up. So I took inspiration from an old chest my grandpa used to hold camping gear in his car. Based on this design, I made four crates, with some small adjustments to make them more usable for my particular situation.

Flip your chisel over. Put the bevel side down when removing material.Hold the chisel at an angle matching the bevel. Then hammer while slightly tilting the chisel to adjust the depth of your cut. Just use the flat side for edging and clean up. I was a finish carpenter for many years...it's the proper way, give it a try.

Just a thought - how about a peg or hook so that the box handles can be attached to the box above? That might make it easier to unload from the car boot etc

Good idea! They can get quite heavy when full though, so depending on what's in there I might still carry them one at a time
