making a cat in clay Inspired by the work Deborah Catani seen on Instagram

Hi, back in the studio today having a bit of fun try out a new workshop, see this made on Instagram by Deborah Catani take a look at her work.

I have made a cat Sculpture out of clay, had great fun making it, this was inspired by another artist on Instagram through that this was a great technique and want to have a go.

Would like to try this out in my summer classes for kids or Adults

I going to try and develop a dog next.

I love it! My pottery teacher will confirm I’m always looking at new ways to make cats from clay. I attending a chicken pot making class once and came home with a cat. It’s an obsession! 😅😅. I will definitely try this out next time I’m near some clay! Thanks so much for sharing!

We made these in my children's Gr 1 - 3 pottery class. They were quite challenging but turned out very quirky and adorable. Hoping they survive the kiln. 😀

How gorgeous! As someone brand new to pottery, how can you let the feet dry out a bit without the top drying out? How long would they need to dry have the apporpriate amount of stability? TIA
