I know everybody else feels the same, but damn, that shop! Between the size of it, the Felder saw, the hardwood flooring, the cabinets...Cheez, it's bigger and nicer than my house... I worked for a woodworking shop for a couple years, and we had a sliding table saw. It was an awesome tool! You're the first YT channel I've seen with one.
@TimothyWilmots5 жыл бұрын
In Europe the slider is the only type of professional saw there is, the weird thing is that you don't see them more on YT. (the floor is pine actually, the cheapest solid wood I could find)

I'm new to your channel and absolutely love your shop. I have a Felder CF741 and wish I had the longest slider, but I don't. The slider changes the way you use a table saw for sure. Thanks for sharing.
@TimothyWilmots8 жыл бұрын
It's easy to do better than a cabinet saw ;) , but indeed the slider really shines from the moment it is long enough to rip a complete panel. I wanted the "F" model as well to have a second spindle because on my stand alone spindle moulder the foot of the feeder is sometimes in the way for complex cuts.

Like your work. A better design is a rolling cart. That way you can bring the clamps to the work. Grabbing 20 clamps off the wall, carrying them to the workbench and back to the wall gets tiring quick. A rolling cart in "A" shape design works well. Have the clamps on the outside leaning toward center. You can add glue and biscuits/dowels to the side for a complete glue-up station.

I wont recap the festool discussion, but all-tool brand loality can bite you in the butt and kill your wallet pretty fast, so id rather go out there and do some research on what manufacturer has the most experience for the type of tool im looking for. Aka id buy Bessey clamps because i have very good experiences with them and the manufacturer has a long history with clamps, but i wouldnt buy a Bessey Knife just because they made good clamps.

Hello Jan, I use a ETS 150/5 98% of the time, and I have at least 5 other sanders. Recently I also got a 150/3 but I find it is too slow to be a main sander. Some will suggest the RO 150, I use that one only when I really have to, it's very tiring to use.

Good job...but you could have just taped both sides before cutting to prevent the tear outs.
@TimothyWilmots8 жыл бұрын
On test cuts I had several layers blow out, not the small splinters you would get with a blade stack, this particular cutter is much less subtle since it only makes two cuts per rotation, where a normal blade makes at least 25 cuts.

@TimothyWilmots8 жыл бұрын
@HODYODesign8 жыл бұрын

Pocket screws are a great invention, handy for this type of quick and dirty work, but it's something I practically never use for commissioned work. I prefer more traditional and durable joinery methods for that, and I often build in series so with my equipment, traditional joinery is often faster than pocket holes any way.
