I noticed at 9:36 in the video you had a mark on the main body where you were gonna put the closure hardware. Do you have any idea how far from the end you came up to make that mark. I know it’s centered as far as the width, but I was wandering where to mark it from the end.

I believe I just temporarily clamped on the gussets to the body and folded it in the closed position and eyeballed about where I wanted the front cover to end up and made a mark where the closure would be.

How long do you wait between coats of Sheridan? I find that once the first couple of applications have dried, the next coat will bead up and not soak in, leading me to believe that multiple coats need to be applied in fairly quick succession.

Hi, i have a leather craft question. Does the mink oil act as a sealant? I've used resoline and tan kote, but have only used oils to condition the leather before dying. Have you had any color fade or rubbing off on clothes with the mink oil finish? It looks amazing, it would be interesting to try. Also, do you happen to have patterns for sale?

Thanks. I use mink oil only to help soften the leather. I don’t think it helps with rub-off. I just try not to over dye my projects.
