i really recommend you should sand out the clay after putting on the first white coat to remove all visible bumps. it will make the hair much smoother and official doll like instead of a home project. this was so cute though! 12/10

So cute! Also, if you ever do repaint a small doll again or ever paint somethin that needs super small fine details, buy a pack of nail art paint brushes. They're perfect for this. But also, having trouble painting is sometimes caused by the bristles of your brush being too long, so using a shorter haired brush is often more useful. I know longer bristles are considered better, but when you're new to long thin haired paint brushes, it is really hard to learn, so, starting shorter and slowly going with longer is very helpful. owo

This looks so cute!!! If you will be painting smaller stuff in the future I recommend nail brushes, they are super small and perfect for details, and when using pastels you “need” to have sealer so it doesn’t rub off,

Just as a tip: if you wanna get a really smooth surface, you can use sandpaper and sand the surface as smooth as you like. Since the surface is round using an electrical file is not ideal 🤍

Tip: if you don’t wanna get paint/marker somewhere, you can just use tape to mask it off and you can be as messy as you want!

You can make cold porcelain at home. I use wood glue, cornstarch, vinegar, and baby oil. The kneading part is the hard part but it’s worth it and very cheap!
