I live in Southern California and i have a vintage quail call looks just like yours but mine was a gift and i use it every time I go fishing at the lake.

I enjoy quail coming to my yard in California to my birdfeeder and their call is so cute! They are so cute and round and fun to watch. It might be fun to make a call for them just to let them know I filled the birdfeeder.
