I'm turning 30 next year and could relate to a lot of the things you said in the beginning. I'm not at all the person I thought and maybe even wished I'd become (which was heavily influenced by societal expectations of success and beauty) but I'm wayyy happier with how things turned out. Glad to hear you're happy and the dresses turned out beautiful. I think the cat hair kinda adds to the second dress in a fun and interested way, fits the vibe somehow, at leats imo. :)
