I'd love to see you try and do one of these without the vocoder's noise option, since it's just adding its own noise! It's cool but I feel like you've done it a lot
@NeddieOfficial
@NeddieOfficial 3 жыл бұрын
well yes but the only rule was that I had to start every sound off with basic shapes and use any kinda processing, and since it's not like synthesizing the noise necessarily out of thin air I think it's fair enough hahaha. I get where you're coming from though, if I do something similar in the future then I'll probably try out something else :)
@NZsaltz
@NZsaltz 3 жыл бұрын
@@NeddieOfficial Yeah, that makes sense! I could be wrong, but I actually do think it's synthesizing the noise out of thin air. When you select the noise option, instead of feeding the vocoder a separate instrument (like a pad for color bass) or just filtering the original sound, it creates pure white noise and then applies the formant of the original sound to it.

dude there is literally no difference between noise from serum and vocoder noise theyre both just generating noise (tbf its impossible otherwise so idm lol)

Yes but I have to have the sound originate from basic shapes so I can't cut corners and just use serum noise
@NZsaltz
@NZsaltz 3 жыл бұрын
@@NeddieOfficial But vocoder noise isn't originating from basic shapes. It's making its own noise, just like Serum is. I think if Serum noise is banned vocoder noise should be too. It makes it a harder challenge for sure. Maybe get creative with intense FM?
@kwick_music
@kwick_music 3 жыл бұрын
It's not at all impossible to make noise or at least something we perceive as noise from basic shapes. Regardless, idm because using vocoder noise just saves time.
