MacKenzie I have a daughter who is 6 and has never had a haircut either,I also just trim. Her hair is near her thighs. The girls in our family have long hair, until they decide if they want to cut it. She loves her hair and we both (her and I) take really great care of it.I also keep up with the braids too,but she loves it too. She's into unicorns and all kinds of stuff. Of course she was born with 2 inches of hair. She was born at 32 weeks, 4lbs. She's a great kid.

That's an amazing idea! Craft stores always have faux flowers on sale. I've made a couple of headdresses before, but I've never thought of sewing them. That's one of those things you can never spill anything on. I think handwashing might release some dyes they use? I like that you found flowers that color matched the material. That's probably the best way of going about that in that regard.
