6:15 why did you screw into the end grain on the first board there and then screw cross grain like youre supposed to on the other side?

Screwing into end grain makes the joint much weaker, maybe im just nitpicking too much but i was wondering why you fastened the first short plank through the end grain on both sides and not the plank on the other side

That makes sense, I was honestly just in the groove of making it, didn't necessarily need to be perfect
