TDR Nova, originally a DYNAMIC eq, but the low-pass and high pass filters work like a charm, exceeding my expectations. It gave a result that was more satisfying than an actual filter. Glad to see someone else using in the same way:)

How did you learn how to make music? I have just installed cakewalk. I have no idea about how to make music. Also I have no idea how to play piano or any thing about music theory , could you please tell me good books/youtube channels to help me get started on the above topics.

Looking back its hard to explain how I learned music. Still let me try. I used to watch a lot of videos on music production. I think the interest was sparked by 2 of my friends who produce music. Once I started messing around in my daw, I had to understand music theory. So, for a few weeks, that was my search in youtube. Then combined all that I learned with what I already knew. Next phase was learning how to mix. I also happen to play a little bit of classical guitar (but that didn't help much in music theory). So this is what I can tell you. 1. First watch short music production videos of your favorite genre on youtube to get inspired. 2. Then search for music theory videos. Then, start messing around in Cakewalk (actually you don't have to wait that long) 5. Watch more music production videos if needed. @@tech_report_0868 Ummmm.... Cakewalk (or any other DAW) does not produce any sound of its own. All the sounds are produced by vst plugins. Effetcs are also vst plugins (some are built in). A DAW, stands for 'Digital Audio Workstation, which provides the workspace to use all these plugins. Watch this video to know how to install them. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y4vZqoeDa9mEe8U Sometimes, you might need to read the installation instructions that comes with each plugin. By the way I use only legally free plugins. Buying midi controllers is not that necessary, especially since you don't play keys. But, let me tell you, I do have an old yamaha keyboard with midi output that makes my production easier.

Well, we gotta spice things up once in a while right 😅 Actually I noticed it while editing the video. (I knew how it would sound while producing, later turned up the voices) I know the artist, but have not been familiar with his work. The drums started of from Illenium, but ended up where the loop samples took me 🤭 My PC specs - Intel Core i5 (lower version) Graphics AMD radeon - 2GB 4+8GB RAB 500 SSD Its not much good, as the thermals is poor. It shuts down several times during video editing because of the heat. But Music production is fine. The SSD I replaced in place of the HDD has made a huge difference!

Nice. I had cakewalk for like 2 weeks, then got ableton. Ableton is supposed to be more advanced, but you’re using cakewalk like something ten years ahead of the age. Respect. Also, any free plugins good for dubstep other than surge?

Aye, thanks mate ! Ableton definitely is advanced than Cakewalk. The automation in Cakewalk is inconsistent and definitely needs a lot of improvement. As for free plugin for dubstep. Nothings gonna top Vital.

Hey though.. when you were stacking up the chords, I actually hoped u wud put a LP filter on one of those tracks.. Too much of those high ends, really harsh on my ear.. Its so complicated, is there like a guide for new beginners where and how to start and whats the best way to start perhaps. I just started using cakewalk but stucked with creating drums, which i wanted triplets half note sound but doesnt know how to do that in the software

There are cakewalk tutorials by Creative Sauce, Simple Green Tech, and a few other youtubers. There are piano roll videos by Bongonzo and XEL Ohh that you can watch to make triplets. Also, I'll be doing one for extreme beginners soon.

You can click and drag it from the bottom of the track pane, or clip pane. In the latest update, there is a button just at the bottom of the track pane. If we click that the bus tracks will pop up.

Where/How can I find the bpm factor parameter automation for Tal-filter 2 (I only see filtertype, speedfactor, resonance etc. I tried speed factor and it did not work) 2. Do you know how to fix this: Creating a track with T-Force Alpha 2 crashes my cakewalk (I tried both VST2 and VST 3 and the module of the problem is TD_MemoryPack.sem or something like that) Thanks for the video! 1. I think Speed Factor is infact the BPM factor 2. I don't know how we can fix that. However, try installing 32 bit and 64 bit versions. It might work.

Thanks for the question. I learned something new because of this. In Cakewalk you can literally drag and drop an audio track into a MIDI track or VST track to get its MIDI data. It works fine for audio with single instruments.
